Manny Rockhold and Jerrod Hull suffered motor woes in hot laps and never really got them corrected all night long.
Heat one (started): 1. Ryan Jamison 51J (2) 2. Matt Sutton 3 (4) 3. Korey Weyant 99w (1) 4. Dave Anderson 53 (3) / 5. Mike Houseman Jr. Y5 (5) 6. Nick Eastin 25 (7) 7. Jerrod Hull 50 (6)
Hull dropped out immediately. Jamison led flag to flag in a mostly single file affair. Heats were eight laps, with the top two going to the shake-up dash and the top four going to the feature.
Heat two (started): 1. John Schulz 2 (3) 2. Bobby Mincer 15 (2) 3. Tyson Hart 16 (5) 4. Justin Parrish 4G (4) / 5. Josh Schneiderman 49 (7) 6. Brent Antill 1A (6) 7. Nate Mosher 22N (1)
Mosher was blacked for jumping the first try at a start. Hart, coming out of retirement, was driving Mark Knapps 16 car. There wasnt much passing as Schulz won going away.
Heat three (started): 1. Jesse Giannetto D1 (1) 2. Rager Phillips 9 (4) 3. Bobby Hawks 5H (5) 4. Terry McCarl 1m (6) / 5. Jimmy Davies 99 (2) 6. Stevie Walsh 20 (3) DNS Manny Rockhold 4B
Giannetto dusted the field from the outset. Hawks moved around Davies with two to go for third and McCarl followed in tow for the final transfer.
Heat four (started): 1. Matt Rogerson 45 (2) 2. Jon Agan 4 (5) 3. Randy Plath 14P (3) 4. Jayson Ditsworth 1 (1) / 5. Brian Hetrick 35 (6) 6. Justin Newberry 36 (4) 7. Lucas Glasgow 19 (7)
Rogerson flag to flag. Agan turned in the performance of the heat races, working under Newberry, Plath and then putting a slide job on Ditsworth to finish in the runner-up spot and a trip to the dash.
Shake-up Dash (started): 1. Schulz (2) 2. Jamison (1) 3. Rogerson (4) 4. Giannetto (3) 5. Sutton (5) 6. Mincer (6) 7. Agan (8) 8. Phillips (7)
Schulz used his front row starting spot to pull away from the field and win going away. Sutton used the last two laps to work around Agan and then Mincer for fourth after dropping as far back as 7th.
B main (started): 1. Eastin (5) 2. Davies (3) 3. Houseman Jr. (1) 4. Schneiderman (2) / 5. Hetrick (4) 6. Walsh (7) 7. Mosher (10) 8. Antill (6) 9. Newberry (8) 10. Glasgow (9) DNS Hull, Rockhold
Houseman Jr. took the early advantage. Eastin was working hard and moved under the leader on lap eight. He won going away. Davies, Schneiderman and Hetrick battled for the final two transfer spots, at times going three-wide. Davies used the low line to grab second in the last corner from Houseman. Schneiderman used the highest parts of the track to shoot around Hetrick for the final transfer.
A main (started): 1. Rogerson (2) 2. Jamison (1) 3. Giannetto (3) 4. Schulz (6) 5. Hawks (11) 6. Eastin (17) 7. McCarl (15) 8. Sutton (4) 9. Phillips (8) 10. Agan (7) 11. Davies (18) 12. Hart (10) 13. Plath (12) 14. Weyant (9) 15. Houseman Jr. (19) 16. Anderson (13) 17. Schneiderman (20) 18. Parrish (14) 19. Ditsworth (16) 20. Mincer (5)
Rogerson took the early lead. Six laps into the 25 lapper, Houseman Jr. went over the turn two berm bringing a caution. Rogerson led Jamison, Giannetto, Sutton and Mincer back to green. The restart would see Mincer get into the turn three tire and flip over. The ensuing slowdown saw someone get over the front end of McCarls car. He rejoined the field at the rear after repairs in the work area. Rogerson took the high line to pull away from the low-riding Jamison on the restart. On the move was Quick Nick Eastin. Eastin was using the low to middle groove to pick his way through the field. Eastin was to sixth by lap 14 when Ditsworth spun over the turn two berm to bring a yellow. Rogerson still led Jamison, but Giannetto and Schulz were now in a classic battle for third that would continue. Schulz got as far up as second but fell to fourth at the line after contact with Jamison. Hawks finished side by side with the veteran but settled for fifth. Eastin earned hard-charger honors in sixth, while McCarl came back from the rear for seventh. It was Rogersons second Sprint Invader win in a row to start the season.
