Joey Saldana (37th car out to time) broke the seven year old Knoxville track record set by Don Droud Jr. by topping all times with a lap of 14.908 seconds. Brian Paulus (5th car out) also broke the old record, but was second fast, followed by Sammy Swindell (9th) and Chad Kemenah (52nd), who were both under the 15 second bracket. Jason Meyers (11th) was sixth quick, followed by Brooke Tatnell (43rd), Donny Schatz (19th), Jac Haudenschild (23rd), Craig Dollansky (8th) and Randy Hannagan (15th). Kevin Swindell was light at the scales and was given one lap at the end to time. Why? Danny Lasoski, Steve Kinser, Kraig Kinser and Terry McCarl were locked into the dash based on Friday's finish.

Heat one (started): 1. Saldana 2 (4) 2. Dollansky 7 (2) 3. Haudenschild 22 (3) 4. Tim Kaeding 83 (5) / 5. Justin Henderson D11 (8) 6. Jon Agan 4 (6) 7. Billy Alley 22A (7) 8. Peter Murphy 35 (9) 9. Jaymie Moyle 5m (1) 10. Eric Vanderploeg 7x (11) 11. Ryan Anderson 71R (12) 12. Barry Ruble 63 (10) DNS - Colin Northway 60

Dollansky shot out to the early advantage in the eight lapper, before Ruble and Anderson made contact in turn four on lap three, bringing out a caution for a spun Ruble. Saldana proved his track record was no fluke, as he passed Dollansky on lap three for the point and pulled away to a win by the length of the straightaway.

Heat two (started): 1. Paul McMahan 11H (1) 2. Schatz 15 (3) 3. Hannagan 1x (2) 4. Wayne Johnson 14AJ (8) / 5. Jason Sides 7s (5) 6. Brandon Wimmer 7TW (10) 7. Jason Solwold R19 (9) 8. Daryn Pittman 21 (11) 9. Chris Walraven 56 (6) 10. Greg Jones 35x (13) 11. Mike Moore 69 (12) 12. Paulus 28 (4) 13. Clint Garner 40 (7)

McMahan led flag to flag. Paulus was running strong when he got sideways on lap three and collected a helpless Garner. Both suffered too much damage to continue. Sides and Johnson exchanged sliders in a heated battle for the final transfer spot. Johnson "got wide" coming for the checkered flag and took the transfer spot.

Heat three (started): 1. Tim Shaffer 6 (1) 2. Shane Stewart 26 (2) 3. Tatnell 8 (3) 4. S. Swindell 5 (4) / 5. Ricky Logan 10 (6) 6. Brian Brown 21B (7) 7. Stevie Smith 19 (5) 8. Jesse Hockett 9 (10) 9. Calvin Landis 70 (8) 10. Ryan Coniam 46 (9) 11. Kaley Gharst 44G (11) 12. Michael Jones 1a (12) DNS - Brent Antill 1B

Stewart and Shaffer raced side by side, until Shaffer took command on lap two and led the distance in a mostly single-file affair.

Heat four (started): 1. Don Droud Jr. 17G (1) 2. Kerry Madsen 55 (6) 3. Jeremy Campbell 10c (5) 4. Skip Jackson 2AU (2) / 5. Matt Moro 47 (9) 6. K. Swindell 1 (8) 7. Meyers 14 (3) 8. Chad Meyer (10) 9. Lynton Jeffrey 4AU (11) 10. Robert Bell 71 (12) 11. Kemenah 15K (4) 12. Jesse Giannetto D1 (7)

Meyers wrestled the lead from Droud at the outset. Meyers got sideways in turn four on the second go-around. Kemenah, running fourth, had nowhere to go and bumped Jackson trying to avoid Meyers. The result was a broken front end and a trip to the pits. Giannetto made heavy contact with Meyers and flipped. He was uninjured, but done for the night. Meyers restarted at the tail. The beneficiaries were locals Droud, Madsen and Jackson, who made the show.

C main (started): 1. Solwold (2) 2. Murphy (1) / 3. Moro (4) 4. Pittman (9) 5. Coniam (3) 6. Wimmer (6) 7. Hockett (7) 8. Vanderploeg (8) 9. Moore (11) 10. M. Jones (14) 11. Anderson (12) 12. Ruble (5) 13. Bell (13) 14. Gharst (10) 15. G. Jones (15) DNS - Lynton Jeffrey, Chad Meyer

Solwold led flag to flag. The lone stoppage came for a stopped G. Jones on lap two.

Dash (started): 1. Lasoski (1) 2. S. Kinser (2) 3. McCarl (4) 4. S. Swindell (6) 5. K. Kinser (3) 6. Saldana (5)

Lasoski and S. Kinser put on a side-by-side duel for the win, with the "King" falling just short at the line.

B main (started): 1. Paulus (1) 2. Kemenah (2) 3. Meyers (3) 4. Sides (5) / 5. Smith (6) 6. Alley (10) 7. Garner (11) 8. Agan (7) 9. Solwold (15) 10. Logan (9) 11. Landis (13) 12. Henderson (14) 13. K. Swindell (16) 14. Murphy (17) 15. Walraven (8) 16. Brown (12) 17. Moyle (4) DNS - Giannetto

Paulus led Kemenah and Meyers in mostly single-file action. There was a race-long duel for the final transfer. A couple of wicked slide jobs by Sides, were countered by Smith. One final dusting got Sides the position by half a car length.

A main (started): 1. S. Kinser (2) 2. Lasoski (1) 3. S. Swindell (4) 4. McCarl (3) 5. Paulus (7) 6. Kaeding (20) 7. Saldana (6) 8. Shaffer (18) 9. K. Kinser (5) 10. Meyers (9) 11. Kemenah (8) 12. Dollansky (13) 13. Stewart (15) 14. McMahan (19) 15. Tatnell (10) 16. Sides (21) 17. Pittman (25, pr.) 18. Schatz (11) 19. Johnson (24) 20. Hannagan (14) 21. Brown (26, pr.) 22. Haudenschild (12) 23. Droud (17) 24. Jackson (16) 25. Murphy (27, pr.) 26. Campbell (22) 27. Madsen (23) 28. Meyer (28, pr.)

The first two rows held a total of 222 Knoxville 410 wins, and four of the top six all-time feature winners at Knoxville. Amazing. The WoO needed their full compliment of provisionals again. S. Kinser shot out to an early advantage in the non-stop 25 lapper over Lasoski. The maestros were soon in traffic and Lasoski found a way under S. Kinser on lap eleven. The "King" got his elbows up and was a master at work in traffic, often running through the middle between cars in traffic. He caught Lasoski and passed him on lap 14. He never looked back in scoring his 58th tally at Knoxville Raceway. Another strong performance was turned in by McCarl in fourth. For the second night in a row, Kaeding went from 20th to 6th in the feature.

360s

Heat one (started, *qualified for feature): 1. Dusty Zomer 1z (2*) 2. Troy Meyer 11m (1*) 3. David Hall 51 (6*) 4. Larry Ball Jr. 5J (8*) 5. Josh Higday 4T (9*) 6. John Schulz 2 (5) 7. Jarod Smith 48 (3) 8. Frankie Heimbaugh 04 (10) 9. Mitchell Alexander 6 (4) 10. Alan Zoutte 33 (7) 11. Nate Van Haaften 3 (11)

Zomer rode the cushion to take the lead from Meyer and the outset and rolled to victory. Ball looked strong from 8th and came just short of getting by Hall at the line.

Heat two (started, *qualified for feature): 1. Jake Peters 57x (2*) 2. Johnny Anderson 7a (3*) 3. Joe Beaver 53 (1*) 4. David Hesmer 1 (6*) 5. Brett Mather 54 (9) 6. Nate Mosher 22N (7) 7. Jerry Crabb 12x (4) 8. Mike Houseman Jr. Y5 (8) 9. Davey Heskin 56x (11) 10. Dan Thornburg 57T (5) 11. Dustin Selvage 7 (10)

Peters led flag to flag. The best race was for second where Anderson held off Beaver by using a tack low side.

Heat three (started, *qualified for feature): 1. Mike Houseman Y2 (2*) 2. Bobby Mincer 10 (1*) 3. John Kearney 83B (9*) 4. Rager Phillips 9 (6*) 5. Pete Crall 11 (4) 6. Rob Edwards 22 (7) 7. Tom Lenz 8L (8) 8. John Hall 7H (5) 9. Bob Schaeffer 12 (10) 10. Stacey Alexander 126 (11) 11. Dave Heskin 84 (3)

Mincer took the early lead. Houseman was strong on the bottom and reeled Mincer in slowly, taking the lead from him on lap four. Lenz started at the tail after spinning on the first try at a start. Kearney used his experience to get around Phillips in the final corner to complete a nice run.

Heat four (started, *qualified for feature): 1. Randy Martin 14 (1*) 2. Bronson Maeschen 96 (7*) 3. Jon Corbin 33c (4*) 4. Eddie Leavitt Jr. F4 (6) 5. Eric Mason B29 (2) 6. DJ Heskin 56 (3) 7. Eric Jobe 23 (9) 8. Ryan Jamison 51J (10) 9. Stevie Walsh 20 (8) 10. Nick Eastin 25 (5)

Martin led the distance. Maeschen went from 7th to 2nd on the first lap, but had nothing for Martin.

C main (started): 1. J. Hall (1) 2. Walsh (4) / 3. Schaeffer (2) 4. M. Alexander (3) 5. Eastin (8) 6. Dave Heskin (11) 7. Thornburg (7) 8. Van Haaften (9) 9. Selvage (10) 10. Zoutte (6) 11. S. Alexander (5)

J. Hall led flag to flag. Schaeffer, on his way home to CO from Memphis, was testing and tuning for the 360 Nationals. Schaeffer held second until Walsh moved around him on the cushion with two to go.

B main (started): 1. Mather (2) 2. Schulz (6) 3. Leavitt (1) 4. Smith (12) / 5. Lenz (11) 6. Heimbaugh (13) 7. Crall (3) 8. Mosher (7) 9. Edwards (5) 10. Mason (4) 11. Crabb (14) 12. Houseman Jr. (15) 13. Davey Heskin (16) 14. J. Hall (17) 15. Walsh (18) 16. DJ Heskin (8) 17. Jobe (9) 18. Jamison (10)

Mather led throughout. Davey Heskin spun on lap two. Mather led Leavitt, Schulz, DJ Heskin and Jamison back to the green flag. Schulz moved into second, and Jobe into the final transfer before DJ Heskin spun on lap six. Jobe and Smith battled for the final transfer. On the white flag lap, both went for the same piece of real estate in turn three, and the result was a violent flip for Jobe. He was uninjured, but the car was toast.

A main (started): 1. Ball (1) 2. Anderson (3) 3. Zomer (8) 4. Kearney (9) 5. Peters (7) 6. Martin (5) 7. D. Hall (4) 8. Schulz (18) 9. Maeschen (10) 10. Meyer (2) 11. Smith (20) 12. Higday (13) 13. Corbin (12) 14. Beaver (14) 15. Mather (17) 16. Mincer (11) 17. Leavitt (19) 18. Houseman (6) 19. Hesmer (15) 20. Phillips (16)

Ball dominated the event. Three stoppages slowed the action. Hesmer spun on lap two, and Phillips tagged the wall on the restart. Both would exit the event. Zomer took advantage on the restart, shooting from fifth to third. That's where he would end up. Beaver brought out the final caution with a fourth lap spin in the 15 lapper. Good charges by Kearney, and Schulz, who earned an extra $100 for being the hard-charger of the event. The win was Ball's second at Knoxville.
