Calvin Landis (2nd car out to time) set a blistering pace with a lap of 15.081 seconds for quick time, a tick off Don Droud Jr.'s track record. Randy Hannagan (11th car out) was second quick, followed by Droud (1st), Kerry Madsen (12th), Wayne Johnson (5th), Justin Henderson (21st), Skip Jackson (30th), Brian Brown (6th), Jon Agan (22nd) and Ricky Logan (16th). Rusty Egan backed it into the wall in hot laps and scratched for the night. Chris Walraven had motor problems and also scratched for the night before TT. Robert Bell got one lap in with a sour motor and also retired for the night. Greg Jones and Eric Vanderploeg were only able to get one lap in the books.
Heat one (started): 1. Seth Brahmer 13x (2) 2. Agan 4 (4) 3. W. Johnson 14AJ (5) 4. Mark Dobmeier 13 (1) 5. Landis 70 (6) / 6. Kaley Gharst 44G (8) 7. Matt Moro 47 (3) 8. Ty Bartz 75 (7) DNS - Bell 71
Brahmer led flag to flag in a nice run on a tacky track. W. Johnson looked particularly strong in battling by Moro and then Dobmeier.
Heat two (started): 1. Mike Reinke 02 (1) 2. Logan 10 (4) 3. Hannagan 1x (6) 4. Henderson 11 (5) 5. Jesse Giannetto D1 (3) / 6. Chad Meyer 1w (7) 7. G. Jones 35 (8) 8. Ryan Anderson 71R (2) DNS - Egan 50x
Reinke led the distance. The lone yellow flag came on lap five for debris off of Meyer's car. Hannagan looked particularly strong, running the bottom side.
Heat three (started): 1. Mike Moore 69 (1) 2. Droud 17G (6) 3. Jackson 2 (5) 4. Larry Neighbors F5 (2) 5. Kim Mock 1m (4) / 6. Tim St. Arnold 7w (3) 7. Vanderploeg 7x (7) 8. Tyler Houseman 50 (8) DNS - Walraven 56
Neighbors took the early advantage, but Moore took the point on lap two and never looked back. Droud was strong running the cushion, while subbing for an injured Jeff Mitrisin, who hopes to be back in about four weeks. Jackson stuck well to the bottom on a very fast track. The best battle on the track was for the final transfer with Mock and St. Arnold exchanging the spot. Mock moved under St. Arnold with two to go and held on to fifth.
Heat four (started): 1. Brown 21 (5) 2. Colin Northway 60 (2) 3. Madsen 55 (6) 4. Mike Kertscher 80K (1) 5. Jerrel Slinkard 15s (3) / 6. Lynton Jeffrey 4AU (4) 7. Michael Jones 1a (7) 8. Brent Antill 1 (8)
Brown exploded to the point from row three on the first circuit and led throughout, pulling away. Antill exited on lap five.
B main (started): 1. Moro (2) 2. Jeffrey (1) 3. Anderson (4) 4. Meyer (6) / 5. Vanderploeg (7) 6. M. Jones (8) 7. Bartz (5) 8. Houseman (9) 9. G. Jones (10) 10. St. Arnold (3) DNS - Gharst, Antill, Bell, Egan, Walraven

A main (started): 1. W. Johnson (4) 2. Jackson (2) 3. Brown (1) 4. Madsen (5) 5. Meyer (24) 6. Droud (6) 7. Logan (10) 8. Landis (8) 9. Giannetto (12) 10. Moro (21) 11. Northway (16) 12. Agan (9) 13. Neighbors (15) 14. Brahmer (14) 15. Mock (11) 16. Anderson (23) 17. Jeffrey (22) 18. Dobmeier (17) 19. Moore (19) 20. Kertscher (20) 21. Henderson (3) 22. Slinkard (13) 23. Hannagan (7) 24. Reinke (18)
Giannetto elected to start at the rear of the 20 lapper. Jackson outdueled Brown for the early advantage. Brown took control on lap four and was pulling away on lap five, when Reinke went up in smoke with an apparent oil filter problem, bringing a caution. Hannagan was up to fourth, but retired under caution with apparent motor woes. The restart saw Brown leading Jackson, W. Johnson, Madsen and Droud back to green flag racing. Jackson got by Brown on lap six, regaining the lead, and W. Johnson followed him into the runner-up position. W. Johnson made his winning pass, as he rode the cushion around Jackson, who was on the bottom behind a slower car on lap 13. Three laps later, Moore spun in turn one, and Kertscher retired with mechanical problems. Now W. Johnson led Jackson, Brown, Madsen, Droud, Logan and surging Meyer, from the tail. W. Johnson held on the final four circuits to take his third Knoxville win and $3000. Meyer finished his fine run by getting by Logan and Droud for fifth and earning the $300 hard-charger bonus. Moro also moved up nicely after his dominating B main performance.

Nichols led the six lapper up to taking the white flag, when Chapman slowed and dumped fluid down the frontstretch, bringing out the caution. Walsh spun on the restart before things could get underway again, but Houseman took the point from Nichols and held on the last two circuits. Great charges were put on by Mosher and Danley, but both had to load up for the night after one of the stoutest C mains you're going to see.
B main (started): 1. Ball (1) 2. Schulz (3) 3. Zomer (8) 4. Wilson (4) / 5. Humston (6) 6. Maeschen (11) 7. Mincer (5) 8. Phillips (12) 9. Meyer (15) 10. T. Alexander (9) 11. Smith (7) 12. Ball led the way in the non-stop 10 lapper, pulling away from the rest of the field in convincing fashion. Zomer ran strong from row four, while Humston and Maeschen passed a slowing Mincer on the last lap, falling just short of the final transfer.
A main (started): 1. Kearney (5) 2. Chadd (2) 3. Beaver (6) 4. D. Hall (7) 5. Anderson (15) 6. Mather (3) 7. Bakker (12) 8. Ball (17) 9. Heimbaugh (9) 10. Schulz (18) 11. Martin (16) 12. Chadd, looking for his 11th win at Knoxville took the early lead in the 15 lapper. Kearney got by before a lap three caution for Crall, who got upside down, collecting Hesmer. Both were done, as were Zomer and Trent who lost use of their brakes. The restart saw Kearney leading Chadd, Higday, D. Hall and Mather. Five laps later, Beaver got into Peters, sending the 57x upside down in turn four in a battle for fifth. He was uninjured but done for the night. Now Kearney led an impressive D. Hall, Higday, Chadd and Beaver back to green flag racing. Higday's great run came to a halt on lap 12 when his mount started to miss and he came to a rest in turn two. With a three lap dash in front of him, Kearney led Chadd, D. Hall, Beaver and Anderson back to green flag racing. Kearney held on for his 18th career 360 win at Knoxville, tying him with Dean Chadd for second on the all-time feature winners list. Kearney, who added a "B" to his number in honor of his late father, "Bub", took an emotional victory lap for his dad. Anderson earned hard-charger honors and $100 by moving forward ten spots in the event.
