Kyle Cummins and Lee Dakus scratched before hot laps.  Hunter Schuerenberg (15th car out to time) set quick time on the 5/16-mile oval at 12.953 seconds.  The track stayed in great shape all night.  Kevin Thomas Jr. (28th car out) was second quick, followed by Chad Boespflug (19th), Carson Short (38th), Cole Smith (31st), Jerry Coons Jr. (13th), Jake Swanson (33rd), Brady Bacon (14th), Chase Stockon (25th) and Max McGhee (42nd).

Darland led Beauchamp and Meseraull early in the 10-lapper, as Schuerenberg moved into fourth quickly.  Smith dove underneath Stockon in a battle for fifth with two laps in the books.  The move in turn three resulted in Smith hitting the tractor tire and taking a wicked ride.  He was transported to the hospital for observation.  After a lengthy delay, on the restart, Schuerenberg and Stockon moved by Meseraull for third and fourth.  Meseraull would exit on lap four.  The battle heated up for the fourth and final transfer between Stockon and Terre Haute winner Farney, who shot up from tenth.  As everyone watched that pair, M. Wissmiller was hitting the high side and blew by both in the final corner to grab the spot.

Heat two (started): 1. Chris Windom 21x (3) 2. Chris Phillips 6x (1) 3. McGhee 17 (4) 4. Thomas Jr. 17RW (6) / 5. Coons 10E (5) 6. Mike Gass 17G (2) 7. Brady Short 11P (10) 8. Bill Rose 6 (7) 9. Jarett Andretti 18 (9) 10. Cole Ketcham 41K (8) 11. Nathan Moore 48 (11) DNS – Kyle Cummins 3R

Phillips led early over Windom, Gass and Thomas Jr., who moved into fourth.  Thomas and McGhee would move into third and fourth on lap two.  McGhee would drive under Thomas for third a lap later.  Ketcham got over the berm to bring out the yellow three laps in right after Windom took the lead from Phillips.  On the restart, Andretti flipped in turn three, but would right the car and return to action.  Windom held on for the win.

Heat three (started): 1. Robert Ballou 12 (3) 2. Jon Stanbrough 81 (2) 3. Boespflug 66 (6) 4. Scotty Weir 11 (4) / 5. CJ Leary 30 (1) 6. Chris Babcock 35 (10) 7. Tyler Courtney 4 (7) 8. Landon Simon 24 (8) 9. Casey Shuman 2x (9) 10. Robert Bell 71 (11) 11. Swanson 92 (5) DNS – Lee Dakus 75

Simon slowed, bringing the caution before a lap could be completed.  Stanbrough took the early lead over Ballou, Leary and Weir.  On lap two, Weir grabbed third from Leary.  With that lap completed, Simon stopped again.  Boespflug was running seventh at the time, but hit the high side to pass Courtney, Swanson and Leary to grab fourth.  Five laps in, contact from Leary sent Swanson over the top of turn one.  He was done for the night.  Ballou hit the cushion in turn four to pass Stanbrough for the lead on lap eight.

Heat four (started): 1. Bacon 69 (5) 2. Josh Hodges 74x (3) 3. C. Short 21 (6) 4. Shane Cottle 57 (4) / 5. Bryan Clauson 7 (8) 6. Logan Jarrett 29 (1) 7. Austin Prock 77 (9) 8. Kevin Studley 57K (10) 9. Matthew McDonald 5m (11) 10. Tony DiMattia 50 (2) 11. Justin Grant 5 (7)

Jarrett led early over Hodges and DiMattia.  On the second lap, DiMattia spun, collecting Grant who tipped over, and Clauson, who would be the only one of the three to restart at the tail.  Hodges shot by Jarrett on the restart to lead, while C. Short moved by Cottle into fourth.  On lap three, Bacon passed Jarrett for second, and C. Short followed him into third a lap later.  Cottle got back into a transfer position, getting by Jarrett on lap five.  McDonald stopped with seven laps in the books.  Bacon passed Hodges shortly thereafter.  Jarrett passed Cottle on lap eight for fourth, only to have Cottle return the favor in a good battle on lap nine.

C main (started): 1. Andretti (1) 2. Farney (4) 3. B. Short (5) 4. Shuman (2) 5. Babcock (6) / 6. Prock (3) 7. Studley (7) 8. K. Wissmiller (8) 9. Bell (10) 10. Knipp (9) DNS – Moore, McDonald, Cummins, Dakus

Shuman led early over Farney and Andretti in the 10-lapper.  Andretti shot by Farney for second on lap two, and grabbed the lead from Shuman in a good battle on lap five.  Farney moved into second on lap seven.  Shuman grabbed the spot back a lap later, as the two exchanged the spot three times.  B. Short began his alphabet run on the cushion, shooting by Shuman for third on the last lap.

B main (started): 1. Coons (1) 2. Swanson (2) 3. Leary (7) 4. B. Short (19) 5. Clauson (15) 6. Meseraull (4) / 7. Grant (11) 8. Courtney (8) 9. Babcock (20) 10. Rose (9) 11. Jarrett (6) 12. Simon stopped before a lap could be completed.  On the second try, Farney, Robbins and Ketcham were involved in an incident.  They all retired, as did Stockon, who headed to the pits.  Coons led early over Meseraull, Swanson and Leary in the 12-lapper.  Swanson passed Meseraull for second on lap two.  By lap four, Clauson had worked his way up from 15th to the sixth and final transfer.  The story of the race was B. Short, who rode the rim and cruised into a transfer spot by lap 9.  He would only be stopped in fourth by the checkers coming out, but he completed the C, B, A marathon.

A main (started): 1. Bacon (2) 2. Thomas Jr. (5) 3. Coons (7) 4. Schuerenberg (6) 5. B. Short (22) 6. Ballou (13) 7. Stanbrough (16) 8. Windom (12) 9. Darland (17) 10. Stockon (23, prov.) 11. Boespflug (4) 23. Leary (19) 24. M. Wissmiller (20)

Bacon led early over McGhee and C. Short.  Thomas Jr. rode the rim to third as he got by C. Short on lap three.  With seven laps complete, McGhee got sideways and went through the infield losing several spots.  He was saved by a caution, when fourth running C. Short spun and collected Boespflug.  Clauson visited the work area.  Both would be done.  The restart saw Bacon leading McGhee, Thoams, Coons and Schuerenberg.  On lap eight, Coons would take third, but Thomas would return the favor a lap later.  They would both move by McGhee into second and third.  On lap 11, Coons would take second again as he cruised low and Thomas was true to the cushion.  B. Short entered the top ten by lap 12 when Swanson flipped.  He was unhurt.  Bacon was son the low side as he led the field back to green ahead of Coons, Thomas, McGhee and Schuerenberg.  Coons passed Bacon to lead lap 13, but Bacon roared back under him a lap later.  Cottle came to a stop at that point, bringing the final caution.  Bacon led Coons, Thomas, Schuerenberg and Weir back to green.  B. Short was up to seventh and shot by two more cars into fifth on the restart.  On lap 17, Thomas’s momentum carried him by Coons to second.  Bacon was too good on the bottom, however, and took his second win of Sprintweek.  Thomas settled for second, ahead of Coons, Schuerenberg and B. Short, who passed 34 cars in going from the C to the B to fifth in the A.
