Kerry Madsen (30th car out to time) set quick time on a super-slick 3/8-mile track at 12.904 seconds.  Terry McCarl (4th car out) was second quick, followed by Parker Price-Miller (32nd), Scotty Thiel (6th), Mike Terry Jr. (7th), Jim Moughan Jr. (3rd), Gio Scelzi (24th), Bill Balog (35th), Paul Nienhiser (2nd) and Jake Blackhurst (12th).  Cory Bruns had motor issues and scratched for the night.

Heat one (started): 1. Nienhiser 9 (2) 2. Joe B. Miller 51B (1) 3. Madsen 2m (4) 4. Chris Urish 77u (5) 5. Terry Jr. 85 (3) / 6. Scott Neitzel 2w (6) 7. Joey Moughan 29 (7) 8. Scott Uttech 7 (8) 9. Jim Fifield 14x (9)

10 laps was the distance, top five transferred to the feature.  Terry was tapped from behind at the start, sending him to the tail.  Nienhiser led Miller and Madsen for the distance.  Terry was the show, however, coming from the tail.  Easing around the top side along the wall, he was able to shoot by Neitzel with two to go to grab the final transfer.

Heat two (started): 1. McCarl 24 (4) 2. Jeremy Schultz 5J (7) 3. Jason Keith 15m (6) 4. Ben Schmidt 73 (5) 5. Jim Moughan 1m (3) / 6. Blackhurst 25 (2) 7. Ryan Jamison 51J (9) 8. Patrick Haynes 5H (8) 9. Jordan Goldesberry 65 (1)

Blackhurst led Goldesberry and McCarl early.  A three-way battle between Schultz, Moughan and Keith ensued as they went three-wide on more than one occasion.  Keith was able to edge Moughan for the final transfer at the halfway point.  With seven laps down, Haynes was being lapped when he spun.  That collected Blackhurst and Goldesberry, who headed off on the hook.  McCarl assumed the lead ahead of Schultz, Ketih, Schmidt and Moughan, and that’s how they finished.

Heat three (started): 1. Tony Stewart 14 (2) 2. Scelzi 71 (3) 3. Price-Miller 71P (4) 4. Max McGhee 11 (6) 5. Kris Spitz 4K (1) / 6. Terry Babb 88 (8) 7. Wayne Modjeski 14AJ (7) 8. Jacob Patton 79J (5) DNS – Cory Bruns 44

Stewart led the distance.  After a lap, Patton was pinched into the wall and flipped.  The top four cars were Indiana based.

Heat four (started): 1. Mike Reinke 02 (1) 2. Balog 17B (3) 3. Brandon Wimmer 7TW (2) 4. Thiel 64 (4) 5. Jeremy Standridge 10s (7) / 6. Brinton Marvel 21 (5) 7. Russel Borland 23 (6) 8. Hunter Custer 29 (8)

Reinke led Jeremy Standridge who railed the bottom from row four to second on the first lap, and Balog.  Balog would move into second on lap two.  Wimmer, in his retro-looking #7TW supplied by Hartnell Racing, would take third on the fourth lap, and Thiel would take fourth coming for the white flag.
Parker Price-Miller (Mark Funderburk Racing Photo)Parker Price-Miller (Mark Funderburk Racing Photo) B main (started): 1. Blackhurst (1) 2. Jo. Moughan (7) 3. Neitzel (2) 4. Borland (4) / 5. Jamison (9) 6. Marvel (3) 7. Patton (8) 8. Babb (5) 9. Modjeski (6) 10. Haynes (10) 11. Uttech (11) 12. Custer (13) 13. Fifield (12) DNS – Goldesberry, Bruns

The 12-lap B took four to the feature.  Blackhurst led Neitzel, Moughan and Marvel early.  A four-car scramble saw Moughan move into second on lap two, and Borland take the fourth and final transfer.  Fifield spun with three laps to go, setting up a restart that saw Blackhurst leading Moughan, Neitzel, Borland and Marvel.  Jamison restarted seventh, and was rolling the low side well.  He would take Marvel for fifth late, but fell a lap short of getting by Borland for the last transfer.

A main (started): 1. Price-Miller (1) 2. Scelzi (6) 3. Stewart (8) 4. Thiel (5) 5. Wimmer (14) 6. Balog (11) 7. McCarl (2) 8. Terry Jr. (3) 9. Blackhurst (21) 10. Miller (12) 11. Jo. Moughan (22) 12. Ji. Moughan (4) 13. Nienhiser (9) 14. Keith (15) 15. Schultz (13) 16. McGhee (18) 17. Schmidt (17) 18. Neitzel (23) 19. Standridge (20) 20. Urish (16) 21. Borland (24) 22. Spitz (19) 23. Madsen (7) 24. Reinke (10)

Price-Miller led Terry Jr. and McCarl early in the 30-lapper.  Everything shuffled up the second lap, with Price-Miller still leading, ahead of Scelzi and Thiel from row three.  The leaders were in lapped traffic by lap seven.  Madsen was inadvertently pinched into the turn three wall and came to a stop.  Reinke could not avoid him, launching over him and upside down.  Both were done, but not hurt.  Price-Miller led Scelzi, Thiel, McCarl and Stewart back to green.  The leaders were in traffic again by lap 12.  Stewart was moving well, and passed McCarl on lap 18 for fourth.  Wimmer was on the move from row seven and entered the top six with seven to go.  Stewart continued surging as well, getting by Thiel with four to go.  At that point, Nienhiser spun, bringing one final caution.  Nothing changed as far as the top four, but Wimmer did get by McCarl for fifth.  It was an all-Indiana podium, with Bernie Stuebgen’s cars taking the top two spots.  Price-Miller’s win was worth $6,000.  Blackhurst was the hard-charger.
Jimmy SiviaJimmy Sivia IRA WingLESS Sprints

Heat one (started): 1. Jake Kouba 70K (1) 2. Ryan Zelski 21 (7) 3. Jimmy Sivia 91 (2) 4. Allen Hafford 38 (3) / 5. Patrick Haynes 5H (5) 6. James Walldan 77 (8) 7. Jimmy Kouba 2K (6) 8. Tim Cox 40 (4)

8-lap heats took the top four to the feature.  Sivia led early over Ja. Kouba and Ji. Kouba.  Cox moved under Ji. Kouba into third on lap two.  Kouba returned the favor the following lap in a good race.  Ja. Kouba shot by Sivia for the lead on lap four.  Sivia would spin, collecting Ji. Kouba, Cox and Haynes.  Only Haynes would continue.  Sivia was able to keep moving and restarted second, through he was passed on lap six by Zelski.

Heat two (started): 1. Mitchell Davis 10 (4) 2. Derek Crane 19K (6) 3. Nathan Crane 97 (3) 4. Natalie Klemko 20 (7) / 5. George Gaertner III 4G (8) 6. Vince Bartolotta 6B (1) 7. Steve Clott 7 (5) 8. Doug Schenck 71s (2)

Schenck lost a wheel on lap one leading and headed pitside.  Second in points with the series, he joined point leader Cox in the B.  Davis led the distance from there, pulling away ahead of D. Crane.  N. Crane got around Bartolotta for third on lap three.

Heat three (started): 1. Greg Olsen 9 (3) 2. Jordan Mattson 2 (1) 3. Rod Colburn 1 (4) 4. Zach Raidart 23z (5) / 5. Jordan Paulsen 4 (8) 6. Jim Wehrman 94 (6) 7. Paul Shaffer 00 (7) 8. Shawn Swim 12 (2)

The last two heats were mostly follow the leader around the bottom.  The crate motors weren’t getting enough juice to get it done around the top, so it was huggy-pole.

Heat four (started): 1. Dennis Spitz 41 (1) 2. Chris Klemko 70 (3) 3. Craig Campton 7s (4) 4. Travis Mahoney 93 (2) / 5. George Gaertner Jr. 89 (6) 6. William Huck 39 (9) 7. Tom Eller 29og (5)
Allen HaffordAllen Hafford B main (started): 1. Cox (1) 2. Schenck (2) 3. Gaertner III (5) 4. Paulsen (6) 5. Gaertner Jr. (8) 6. Huck (9) / 7. Walldan (10) 8. Bartolotta (7) 9. Wehrman (4) 10. Eller (12) 11. Ji. Kouba (13) 12. Shaffer (14) 13. Haynes (3) 14. Clott (11) DNS – Swim

Cox led Schenck and Haynes early in the 12-lapper that took the top six to the back of the A.  Except for a couple guys in the back struggling to make the top work, it was another exercise around the bottom of the track.  Shaffer spun with seven laps down, and then Haynes spun out of sixth place and a transfer late in the going.

A main (started): 1. Hafford (1) 2. Campton (2) 3. Davis (4) 4. Mattson (11) 5. Colburn (3) 6. Cox (17) 7. Sivia (7) 8. C. Klemko (8) 9. Zelski (13) 10. N. Crane (10) 11. Ja. Kouba (6) 12. Spitz (5) 13. Gaertner Jr. (21) 14. D. Crane (12) 15. Schenck (18) 16. Raidart (15) 17. N. Klemko (16) 18. Olsen (9) 19. Paulsen (20) 20. Huck (22) 21. Gaertner III (19) 22. Mahoney (14)

Hafford would lead the distance around the tires on the bottom in the 20-lapper.  Mahoney would nail the turn one infield tire, folding his front end with 11 down, bringing the only caution. Davis passed Colburn for third at that point.  Mattson had been providing the entertainment, trying to run in the top groove to no avail.  Finally, restarting 13th, he used the last nine laps to pass a car a lap and finish fourth.  Cox snuck his way up from row nine to get under 11 cars.
