(from Speed Sport) MOUNT GAMBIER, Australia — James McFadden earned his second consecutive World Series Sprintcar triumph in Wednesday night’s Speedweek round at Borderline Speedway.
Starting third in the feature, McFadden was running fourth during the middle part of the race, but burst into contention with a brave move that saw him blast underneath Brooke Tatnell and Steven Lines to take second.
McFadden got the break he needed when race leader Jason Johnson tangled with Rory Button on lap 14. McFadden inherited the lead and paced the remainder of the event for the victory.
Steven Lines finished second, with Luke Dillon, Jamie Veal and Daniel Harding rounding out the top five.
