Sammy Swindell (22nd car out to time) set the standard in time trials at 16.201 seconds.  Jason Johnson (24th car out) was second quick, followed by Mark Kinser (12th), Joey Saldana (45th), Danny Lasoski (3rd), Matt Moro (37th), Wayne Johnson (39th), Steve Kinser (19th), Ricky Logan (35th) and Craig Dollansky (13th).  Daryn Pittman took one lap at the end of qualifications after motor difficulties in hot laps and his time trial spot.  After qualifications, the graders smoothed the track surface after a large curb had formed ensuring a narrow track.  The work made the track racy and wider as the night went on.

Heat one (started): 1. Logan 17G (4) 2. Swindell 12x (6) 3. S. Kinser 11 (5) 4. Paul McMahan 11h (7) 5. Kerry Madsen 55 (2) / 6. Shane Stewart 4m (3) 7. Calvin Landis 70 (8) 8. Mike Moore 69 (11) 9. Jeff Mitrisin 5J (9) 10. Robert Bell 71 (13) 11. Terry McCarl 24 (10) 12. Randy Anderson R19 (1) DQ - Chris Walraven (12)

Walraven changed right rears after time trials, a WoO violation.  Anderson broke out to a good lead from his pole position in the eight lapper.  On lap five, while still in command, his motor ceased and he coasted pitside.  Two laps later, McCarl was working into a transfer when he lost his left rear wheel, sending him into a flip down the frontstretch.  He was uninjured, but done for the night.  Logan, who assumed the lead from Anderson, went on to win.  Mitrisin went to the work area, during McCarl's red.

Heat two (started): 1. Donny Schatz 15 (2) 2. Dollansky 7 (4) 3. Ja. Johnson 50D (6) 4. Jesse Giannetto D1 (1) 5. Brent Antill 1 (3) / 6. W. Johnson 14AJ (5) 7. Pittman 21 (8) 8. Travis Cram 92 (7) 9. Clint Garner 40 (10) 10. Erin Crocker 16 (9) 11. Larry Ball Jr. 7x (12) 12. Jeff Johnson 11J (11)

Schatz led flag to flag, while several Knoxville regulars battled for the final transfer spots.

Heat three (started): 1. Mike Reinke 02 (1) 2. Brian Paulus 28 (2) 3. Tim Shaffer 6 (4) 4. Skip Jackson 2AU (7) 5. Moro 47 (5) / 6. Josh Higday 83x (3) 7. Troy Little 20AU (8) 8. Jason Sides 7s (11) 9. Lynton Jeffrey 10 (6) 10. John VanDenBerg v10 (9) 11. Mark Hurd 44m (10) DNS - M. Kinser 83

M. Kinser did not start after discovering mechanical problems after being under power.  Reinke led the distance in dominating fashion, despite a lap three spin by Hurd, and a lap six caution for debris from his own car.  Shaffer, Jackson and Moro put on the show of the race, dueling side by side for awhile.

Heat four (started): 1. Lasoski 20 (5) 2. Brooke Tatnell 66 (2) 3. Billy Alley 22 (4) 4. Jason Meyers 14 (7) 5. Saldana 2 (6) / 6. Brandon Wimmer 7TW (1) 7. Tim St. Arnold 8s (10) 8. Kraig Kinser 11K (3) 9. Jerrol Slinkard 15s (9) 10. Tyler Houseman 50 (11) 11. Colin Northway 60 (8) DNS - Jaymie Moyle 1s

Tatnell outraced Wimmer for the early advantage.  Northway came to a stop on lap three, bringing out the caution.  Tatnell led Wimmer, Alley, Lasoski and Saldana back to the green flag restart.  Lasoski was able to work his way to the point on lap six, while Meyers made a nice move around Wimmer and Saldana for fourth.

C main (started): 1. Sides (5) 2. Moore (3) / 3. Slinkard (6) 4. Je. Johnson (4) 5. Bell (10) 6. Houseman (7) 7. Hurd (8) 8. Little (1) 9. St. Arnold (2) 10. Walraven (9) DNS - Ball

Little dominated until lap six of the eight lapper when Sides caught a break.  Sides was destined to finish third and out of a transfer on lap six, when St. Arnold, who was running second came to a stop and exited.  Little was leading on the restart, but blew his powerplant on the white flag lap, handing the win to Sides.

Dash one (started): 1. Saldana (3) 2. Logan (1) 3. Moro (2) 4. Schatz (7) 5. Shaffer (5) 6. Swindell (4) 7. Antill (6) 8. Tatnell (8)

Logan was slotted for the pole, but was penalized a row for jumping.  Saldana led the distance from the pole.  Swindell faded late with a vibration, apparently caused by a mud-packed wheel.

Dash two (started): 1. Dollansky (1) 2. S. Kinser (2) 3. Lasoski (3) 4. Ja. Johnson (4) 5. Madsen (6) 6. Paulus (7) 7. Reinke (8) 8. Alley (5)

A single file affair other than an Alley spin before a lap could be completed.

B main (started): 1. M. Kinser (1) 2. K. Kinser (3) 3. Pittman (10) 4. Stewart (5) 5. Sides (15) / 6. Cram (8) 7. Garner (14) 8. Higday (4) 9. Landis (9) 10. VanDenBerg (13) 11. Moore (16) 12. Wimmer (6) 13. Crocker (12) 14. Jeffrey (11) 15. W. Johnson (2) 16. Anderson (7) DNS - Northway, Mitrisin

M. Kinser jumped out to an early lead with W. Johnson in tow.  Pittman began a charge to the front.  On lap nine of twelve, while running second, W. Johnson suffered a flat and came to a stop.  The restart saw M. Kinser leading K. Kinser, Higday, Pittman and Stewart.  Pittman and Stewart were able to work past Higday for the final transfer spots.  Sides grabbed a transfer when Giannetto gave up his spot in the A.

A main (started): 1. Saldana (1) 2. S. Kinser (4) 3. Dollansky (2) 4. Lasoski (6) 5. Swindell (11) 6. Schatz (7) 7. Shaffer (9) 8. Madsen (10) 9. Logan (3) 10. Paulus (12) 11. Moro (5) 12. Ja. Johnson (8) 13. Meyers (22) 14. Pittman (23) 15. Reinke (14) 16. Tatnell (15) 17. K. Kinser (18) 18. McMahan (21) 19. Sides (24) 20. M. Kinser (17) 21. Jackson (20) 22. Stewart (19) 23. Alley (16) 24. Antill (13) DNS - Giannetto

The 20 lapper went non-stop with Saldana leading the distance.  S. Kinser fell back early, but managed to pass by Lasoski and Dollansky in the late going, before mounting a charge for the lead that fell short.  Swindell also moved up nicely.  Meyers and Pittman shared hard-charger honors, each moving forward nine spots.

S. Alexander wrestled the early lead from Crabb.  Kearney took the point on lap four.  The next circuit saw Mason, who was running sixth, blow a right rear.  Kearney led S. Alexander, Zomer, Crabb and Maeschen back to the green flag.  Three laps later, Smith spun, setting the stage for a three lap showdown.  Doty had moved into fifth and had a pass of Maeschen negated by the yellow.  He stormed around on the restart.  Lenz was also on the move and both were in hot pursuit of S. Alexander.  When S. Alexander ran out of fuel on the white flag lap, both Lenz and Doty edged him at the line to grab the last two transfer spots.
