26 cars

Heat one (started): 1. John Schulz 2 (4) 2. Ryan Anderson 71R (1) 3. Bobby Mincer 15 (3) 4. Tyson Hart 5H (8) / 5. Ryan Jamison 51J (7) 6. Rod Richards 5 (5) 7. Tony Daniels 14 (6) 8. Donnie Steward 16s (2) DNS ? Bert Andrews 78

The top four from each heat went to the feature with the top two going to the dash.  Steward blew a motor after the drop of the green.  He was done for the evening.  Richards and Jamison got together at the same time and spun.  Both restarted at the rear.  Schulz led flag to flag in a single file affair.

Heat two (started): 1. Kurt Davis 50 (2) 2. Matt Harms 53H (4) 3. Jeff Nehring 9 (3) 4. Dustin Whiting 1 (7) / 5. Rob Edwards 22x (5) 6. Josh Schneiderman 49 (8) 7. Mike Houseman 83 (6) 8. Jim Davies 99 (1) DNS ? Ryan Menninga 10

Mag problems forced Menninga to sit out.  Davis had the field covered in the DeReu 50, but Houseman was charging and challenging for second when his car popped out of gear with two laps to go.  The problem would plague him all night as he had a DNS in the B. Brian Ridge owns Houseman?s car and they are excited about the coming season.  Davies dropped from competition on lap two.

Heat three (started): 1. Terry McCarl 24 (8) 2. Matt Rogerson 22 (2) 3. Mike Trent 14c (6) 4. Justin Newberry 36 (4) / 5. Matt Sutton 3 (3) 6. Brian Hetrick 35 (1) 7. Lyle Sylvester 12 (5) 8. Scott Peitz 77 (7)

By lap four, McCarl had overtaken the field and proceeded to drive away.  Trent looked good in moving up into a transfer, and Sutton worked over Newberry for the final A main spot, but couldn?t get it done.

Dash (started): 1. McCarl (3) 2. Davis (2) 3. Anderson (4) 4. Schulz (1) 5. Rogerson (6) 6. Harms (5)

A great race between McCarl and a stubborn Davis.  McCarl slid under Davis in turn four as he took the white flag on the frontstretch.  McCarl drew a 6, meaning he would start outside row three of the feature.  Davis would start on the pole, Anderson outside, and so on.

B main (started): 1. Jamison (1) 2. Sutton (2) 3. Hetrick (3) 4. Sylvester (5) 5. Peitz (7) 6. J. Scheiderman (8) 7. Daniels (6) 8. Menninga (9) 9. Edwards (4) / DNS ? Richards, Davies, Houseman, Andrews, Steward

Jamison led flag to flag in a caution filled event.  Edwards exited before a lap four Menninga spin.  When Menninga spun again on the next circuit he was disqualified.  Daniels also exited at this time.  Edwards earned the final transfer position in the A, when Mincer could not make the call.

A main (started): 1. McCarl (6) 2. Trent (8) 3. Davis (1) 4. Hart (9) 5. Rogerson (4) 6. Hetrick (14) 7. Nehring (7) 8. Whiting (10) 9. Sutton (13) 10. Harms (5) 11. Anderson (2) 12. Sylvester (15) 13. Menninga (19) 14. Newberry (11) 15. Schneiderman (17) 16. Peitz (16) 17. Schulz (3) 18. Daniels (18) 19. Jamison (12) 20. Edwards (20) DNS ? Mincer

Edwards, Jamison and Daniels exited early, while McCarl took the lead from Davis on lap six of twenty-five.  The race went non-stop and McCarl had lapped up to seventh place, when Schulz came to a smoking stop on lap 13 while running sixth.  At the time, McCarl led Davis, Rogerson, Trent and a charging Hart.  A Menninga spin on lap 20 again bunched the leaders with McCarl leading an impressive Trent, Davis, Rogerson and Nehring.  McCarl cruised the last five laps and won the $1000 prize in impressive fashion.  Hetrick was the hard-charger in the event, passing eight cars.  Trent?s run was equally impressive, as was Hart?s.
