Brady had an issue in his heat on Saturday that set him back.  “We had a mechanical problem in the heat,” he says.  “We were having some brake problems and they locked up.  We had to go to the tail and things weren’t working (he finished fifth).  We were able to fix everything and win the B.”

Winning the B meant starting 17th on the tight bullring.  “Starting back there was pretty dangerous,” says Brady.  “We kind of had to take what we could get considering what we were racing for.  You can’t just charge up through there on a bullring like that, because there are cars everywhere.  In the back, it was hard to get the speed up.”

Still the #99 was fast, and he charged into the top ten.  “We were able to run up to seventh,” says Brady.  “It was pretty hairy most of the race.  We kept everything in once piece, and to be honest, we had a pretty fast car in the feature.  If things would have been different for us in the heat, maybe we could have been up there with (Brad) Loyet and (Bryan) Clauson.”

Brady is excited for some warmer temps this weekend in Indiana.  “We’re looking forward to getting back with USAC,” he says.  “We’re racing a couple of tracks this weekend that have been good to us in the past, so we’re hoping for the best.”
