Drivers qualified in their heat groups.  James McFadden, Mike Reinke, Aaron Reuzel and Bill Balog set quick time in their particular groups.  McFadden (8th car out to time) set the overall quick time mark on the 1/3-mile oval at 11.732 seconds.  Paul McMahan (6th car out) was second quick, followed by Cory Eliason (2nd), Reutzel (19th), Kerry Madsen (26th), Dale Blaney (7th), Skylar Gee (5th), Scotty Thiel (20th), Reinke (10th) and Justin Peck (22nd).

8-lap heats took the top five to the main event.  The top two in each heat, and the two fastest remaining qualifiers locked into two Dashes.  Eliason led the distance in this one, but Blaney battled him early the top spot.  McFadden and McMahan battled for the third spot, with JMAC taking the position on lap two.  Moughan exited early.

Heat two (started): 1. Brock Zearfoss 70 (2) 2. Greg Wilson w20 (3) 3. Reinke 02 (4) 4. Steve Meyer 85m (5) 5. Wayne Modjeski 14AJ (7) / 6. Todd Daun 19 (6) 7. Danny Schlafer 11D (1) 8. Nick Matuszewski 63 (8) DNS – Ben Schmidt 73

Schmidt had issues in qualifying and would return for the B.  It was three-wide for the lead coming out of turn four on the first lap.  Zearfoss would grab the advantage and lead wire to wire.  While many rode low, Reinke rode his customary cushion around Schlafer into third at the halfway point.  Meyer would follow, and Modjeski took the last transfer with two to go.

Heat three (started): 1. Peck 70x (1) 2. Madsen 2m (3) 3. Thiel 64 (2) 4. Reutzel 87 (4) 5. Gerard McIntyre Jr. 07 (5) / 6. Jordan Goldesberry 65 (7) 7. Scott Neitzel 2w (8) 8. Marcus Dumesny 14m (6) 9. Jereme Schroeder 43 (9)

Peck led the distance in a mostly single-file event.  The race was for the fifth and final transfer.  McIntyre snatched it from Dumesny on lap three.

Heat four (started): 1. Wayne Johnson 2c (1) 2. Andrew Schuerle 2AU (3) 3. Balog 17B (4) 4. Jeremy Schultz 5J (6) 5. Dave Uttech 68 (5) / 6. Kris Spitz 4K (7) 7. Johnny Fahl 0 (9) 8. Hunter Custer 29 (8) 9. Russel Borland 23 (2)

Johnson led Borland and Schuerle early.  On lap three, Borland suddenly veered to the infield, surrendering second to Schuerle.  While Johnson left the field behind, a good battle developed for the final transfer, with Uttech holding off Spitz.

Dash one (started): 1. Peck (1) 2. Eliason (3) 3. Wilson (2) 4. Blaney (5) 5. Schuerle (4)

The 12-lap heat took the top four to the back of the B.  Dumesny led Hobaugh, Goldesberry and Daun early.  Neitzel moved into a transfer spot, when he passed Daun for fourth on lap two.  His charge continued when he passed Goldesberry for third on lap three, and Hobaugh for second on lap four.  Lap five saw Goldesberry get around Haubaugh for third, while Biertzer took the last transfer from the Pennsylvanian on lap seven.  Schmidt and Borland came from rows six and seven, but fell just short of transfers.

The 30-lapper saw Peck take the early lead over McFadden and Eliason.  Neitzel and McIntyre came together a lap in.  Neitzel replaced a flat left front tire and both continued.  Peck led McFadden, Eliason, Wilson and Zearfoss back to green.  Wilson grabbed third on the restart, while Blaney moved into the top five himself.  The leaders entered lapped traffic on the sixth circuit.  Peck was in the midst of three lapped cars and taking heat on lap ten.  McFadden was able to shoot by him for the lead in turn two on the eleventh lap.  By turn three, Peck had hit the high cushion in turn three and tipped over.  He was ok.  Now McFadden led Wilson, Blaney, Eliason and Madsen.  Goldesberry spun and exited thirteen laps in.  McFadden led the group back to green, while McMahan found the high side around Madsen to eek into the top five on the restart.  A lap later, Thiel tipped over in turn two.  His car was righted, and he continued.  McFadden was running low in one and two and high in three and four.  McMahan rode the cushion around Eliason on lap 18 for fourth.  McFadden was back in traffic with four to go.  Reutzel snagged fourth from McMahan with three to go, but no one was catching McFadden, who celebrated with car owner, Kasey Kahne.  Reutzel was the hard-charger.

Heat two (started, *qualified for feature): 1. Jim Melis 51m (3*) 2. Paul Pokorski 4 (4*) 3. Justin Erickson 3 (1) 4. Travis Arenz 25T (8*) 5. Tony Wondra 11 (9*) 6. Robbie Pribnow 20R (6) 7. Tyler Brabant 99 (7) 8. Mike Yurmanovich 7m (5) 9. Tyler Tischendorf 26T (2)

A lot of action in this one.  The veteran J. Melis took the point from Erickson on lap two.  Pokorski took third on lap two and then second a lap later.  Arenz shot from the tail to fourth by the checkers.

Heat three (started, *qualified for feature): 1. Jason Johnson 6T (1*) 2. Danny Schlafer 25 (2*) 3. Tim Haddy 21H (8*) 4. Kurt Davis 6K (7*) 5. Adam Miller 24m (4) 6. Josh Teunissen 96 (3) 7. Doug Wondra 30 (8) 8. Anthony Knierim 16 (5)

Johnson led wire to wire.  Knierim moved from fifth to third by lap three, but would crash hard in turn three five laps in.  He was ok.  Haddy and Davis were the prime movers and shakers.

Heat four (started, *qualified for feature): 1. Kevin Karnitz 63K (1*) 2. Nich Melis 9 (3*) 3. Will Gerrits 21 (4*) 4. Bill Taylor 69 (5) 5. Blake Wondra 0 (8*) 6. Spyder Akright 53A (6) 7. Preston Ruh 26R (2) 8. Chris Larson 51 (7)

Karnitz led the distance.  Larson brought a lap seven caution when he stopped.

B main one (started): 1. Taylor (1) 2. Walter (2) 3. Pribnow (3) / 4. Brabant (5) 5. Clayton (4) 6. Tischendorf (9) 7. Yurmanovich (8) 8. Teunissen (6) 9. Larson (7)

12-lap B mains took the top three to the A.  Taylor led the distance, ahead of Walter and Pribnow.  Walter and Pribnow exchanged second twice, but the lead trio separated themselves from the rest of the pack.

B main two (started): 1. A. Miller (2) 2. Berth (4) 3. Akright (3) / 4. Vanderboom (6) 5. Erickson (1) 6. A. Schlafer (7) 7. D. Wondra (5) 8. Ruh (8) DNS – Knierim

Erickson led early, ahead of Akright and Berth.  A caution for Vanderboom spinning a lap in, gave A. Miller a shot to take over third.  Erickson did a 360 spin and kept the lead, but the mandatory caution sent him to the tail.  Akright inherited the lead and held it through Ruh’s second spin of the race.  A. Miller would get by Berth and then took the lead with two to go.  Berth took second coming for the white flag.

A main (started): 1. Arenz (1) 2. Karnitz (3) 3. Wenninger (5) 4. Davis (11) 5. N. Melis (2) 6. J. Melis (8) 7. J. Johnson (4) 8. Haddy (7) 9. Fassbender (15) 10. J. Miller (14) 11. Pribnow (21) 12. Taylor (17) 13. Pokorski (6) 14. Berth (22) 15. A. Miller (18) 16. T. Wondra (13) 17. Gerrits (12) 18. Walter (19) 19. B. Wondra (16) 20. McMullen (9) 21. Akright (22) 22. D. Schlafer (10)

Arenz led early over Karnitz and N. Melis in the 25-lapper.  Akright spun four laps in.  D. Schlafer exited with issues as well.  Wenningerpassed N. Melis for third on the restart, and McMullen took fourth.  Leaders hit lapped traffic on lap 12.  Karnitz tangled with the lapped car of Akright in turn two on lap 21.  Akright’s front-end broke, and fourth running McMullen tipped over to avoid him.  Both were done, but ok.  Arenz again led the field back to green.  Davis had advanced from row six, and put pressure on Wenninger for third, using the high side.  Arenz was never seriously challenged to the checkers.  Pribnow was the hard-charger.
