Checking in at Jacksonville is always a great experience, especially when greeted by the outstanding duo of Carolyn and Kenzi Schuh at the pit shack!

Sheldon Haudenschild (18th car out to time) set quick time over the field with a lap of 10.115 seconds on the ¼-mile, less than a tenth of a second off Aaron Reutzel’s record set in May.  Carson Macedo (29th car out) was second quick, over Logan Seavey (4th), Aaron Reutzel (11th), Brad Sweet (20th), Hunter Schuerenberg (26th), David Gravel (34th), Buddy Kofoid (13th), Brent Marks (32nd) and Justin Peck (3rd).  Frank Rodgers III failed to get a time in.

Heat one (started): 1. Haudenschild 17 (1) 2. Sweet 49 (2) 3. Marks 19 (3) 4. Ian Madsen 18 (5) 5. Donny Schatz 15 (4) / 6. Jake Blackhurst 25 (7) 7. Jacob Allen 1a (6) 8. Ayrton Gennetten 3 (9) 9. Andy Bishop 33 (8)

10-lap heats took the top two to the Dash and the top five to the A.  The track was heavy with a large cushion about five feet off the wall all night.  Haudenschild led the distance in this one pulling away, with the only pass in the top five being Madsen’s of Schatz for fourth on lap three.

Heat two (started): 1. Macedo 2 (1) 2. Shane Stewart 5 (4) 3. Peck 5x (3) 4. Paul Nienhiser 9x (5) 5. Josh Schneiderman 49J (6) / 6. Jason Sides 7s (7) 7. Joe B. Miller 51B (8) 8. Logan Faucon 52F (9) 9. Schuerenberg 39 (2)

Macedo led wire to wire.  With two laps to go, second running Schuerenberg got upside in turn two and was done for the night.  Stewart benefited with the second Dash spot, and Schneiderman inherited the final transfer.

Heat three (started): 1. Seavey 01 (1) 2. Gravel 41 (2) 3. Dominic Scelzi 41s (4) 4. Kraig Kinser 11K (3) 5. Daryn Pittman 83 (5) / 6. Mason Daniel 33m (7) 7. Kyle Schuett 9K (6) 8. Jacob Patton 79J (8) 9. Korey Weyant 99 (9)

Seavey led the mostly single-file affair the distance.

Heat four (started): 1. Reutzel 87 (1) 2. Kofoid 67 (2) 3. Logan Schuchart 1s (4) 4. Parker Price-Miller 96 (3) 5. Terry Babb 47 (8) / 6. Zach Daum 5D (5) 7. Wayne Johnson 2c (6) 8. Danny Smith 4 (7) DNS – Frank Rodgers III 6

Daum and Johnson came together on the first lap.  That opened the door for Babb to start sixth and go on to the final transfer.  Reutzel was the class of the field, pulling away to the checkers.

Dash (started): 1. Haudenschild (2) 2. Macedo (4) 3. Stewart (6) 4. Gravel (5) 5. Seavey (1) 6. Kofoid (3) 7. Sweet (8) 8. Reutzel (7)

Haudenschild led Seavey and Macedo early.  On lap three, both Macedo and Stewart shot by Seavey into the top three.  Gravel passed him a lap later for fourth.  Reutzel exited early.

B main (started): 1. Daum (1) 2. Allen (2) 3. Schuett (3) 4. Johnson (4) / 5. Sides (6) 6. Blackhurst (5) 7. Smith (8) 8. Daniel (7) 9. Weyant (14) 10. Miller (10) 11. Patton (11) 12. Gennetten (12) 13. Faucon (13) 14. Bishop (9) DNS – Schuerenberg, Rodgers

Still not much passing going on as the top four run that way the whole 12 laps.  Blackhurst tried high and low on Sides, but couldn’t find any room to pass.

A main (started): 1. Macedo (2) 2. Sweet (7) 3. Reutzel (8) 4. Schatz (17) 5. Stewart (3) 6. Gravel (4) 7. Kinser (15) 8. Price-Miller (16) 9. Madsen (13) 10. Daum (21) 11. Marks (9) 12. Peck (10) 13. Pittman (19) 14. Babb (20) 15. Haudenschild (1) 16. Schneiderman (18) 17. Schuett (23) 18. Seavey (5) 19. Kofoid (6) 20. Scelzi (11) 21. Schuchart (12) 22. Nienhiser (14) 23. Allen (22) 24. Johnson (24)

Macedo led Haudenschild and Gravel early in the 40-lapper.  Johnson slowed to bring the caution on lap four.  Macedo chose the inside line in the double-file restart ahead of Haudenschild, Gravel, Stewart and Kofoid.  Stewart jumped up to third and Seavey to fifth on the restart.  Kofoid would get back by Seavey on lap nine for fifth in a good battle between the young Californians.  Macedo entered lapped traffic on lap 11 before Kinser got sideways in two and crossed the infield berm to bring caution.  On lap 14, Sweet entered the top five, getting by Kofoid.  Haudenschild was all over Macedo and slid in front of him for the lead in turn two on lap 16.  Two circuits later, Nienhiser got into the turn one wall, breaking the front end.  Sweet advanced to fourth, before Marks spun at the halfway point.  It was Reutzel’s turn to enter the top five on that restart.  Seavey stopped on the next lap, bringing another caution.  Stewart worked by Macedo for second, but Macedo would battle back on lap 24 and retake the runner-up spot.  The next lap saw a five-car melee involving Kofoid, Madsen, Schuchart, Peck and Scelzi, who got upside down.  No one was injured.  Haudenschild chose the inside line ahead of Macedo, Stewart, Sweet, Reutzel and a charging Schatz.  Two laps later, Macedo worked by Haudenschild to retake the lead.  Stewart did a 360 spin but kept it going on lap 31, losing a few spots.  Haudenschild spun out of second on lap 34.  He restart at the tail, while Macedo led the single-file restart over Sweet, Reutzel, Schatz and Stewart.  That’s how they would finish.
