The event was held without fans and available on Pay Per View. It attracted a stout field spanning just about every area of the country and most sanctions.
The field was split into two groups for qualifying, with group one filling heats 1-3, and group two filling heats 4-6. Donny Schatz (7th car out to time) set the standard on the 4/10-mile oval at 13.257 seconds in the first group. Jason Sides (2nd car out) was second quick, followed by Brooke Tatnell (4th), tonight in the DeWall #16, James Broty (3rd), Brian Brown (6th), Sheldon Haudenschild (15th), Kasey Kahne (10th), Matt Juhl (13th), Tony Knight (22nd) and Chris Martin (5th). Kevin Seidler had issues in hot laps and failed to get a time in.
Daryn Pittman (19th car out) was fastest in group two, at 13.475 seconds. Brad Sweet (16th car out) was second quick, followed by Ian Madsen (28th), Tim Kaeding (13th), Cory Eliason (18th), Mark Dobmeier (11th), Rico Abreu (29th), Brock Zearfoss (3rd), Austin McCarl (1st) and Lynton Jeffrey (21st). Christian Bowman and Skylar Prochaska each had issues in hot laps and scratched for the night.

8 laps heats took the winner and the top three qualifiers who transferred for the feature by placing in the top three in their heat, on to the Dash. Martin was penalized a row for jumping. Schatz circled the front row and led the distance. Broty settled into second early, but Kahne got by him for second on lap two, and Reutzel gained the third and final transfer on the third lap.

Wise took the early lead ahead of Juhl and Brown. Henderson worked from row three to pass Sides for fourth on lap three. He reeled in Brown before passing him on the low side for the final transfer coming for the white flag.

Knight shot under Larson out of turn four to complete lap one and pulled away to a convincing win. Haudenschild slid by Larson to take second at the halfway point.

Schuerenberg got into the turn two wall before a lap could be completed. Jeffrey would lead the distance with Kaeding in tow. Abreu was third on lap one, but Pittman snatched the final transfer on lap two. Price-Miller fell just short, while Macedo and Macri had the best battle, going back in forth back in the pack.

Before a lap could be completed, Eliason spun in a battle for third in turn four. He restarted at the tail. Balog led wire to wire, ahead of Sweet and Zearfoss.

K. Madsen was penalized a row for jumping the initial start. Dobmeier jumped on the opportunity to lead the distance ahead of K. Madsen. On lap three, I. Madsen moved by A. McCarl for the third and final transfer.

Four-lap Dashes determined starting spots in row 1-6 for the feature. Knight spun before a lap was down. Schatz took it from there, leading the distance.
Dash two (started): 1. I. Madsen (3) 2. Jeffrey (1) 3. Sweet (6) 4. Pittman (5) 5. Balog (2) 6. Dobmeier (4)
Jeffrey led I. Madsen and Blaog early. Sweet took over third on lap three, with Pittman in tow. That same circuit, I. Madsen claimed the point from Jeffrey.

Sides led Tatnell for the distance of the 15-lapper, but the third and final transfer spot was well contested. Stewart got under T. McCarl for fourth four laps in. Sides was in lapped traffic at that point. Stewart reeled in Brown and used the bottom part of the racetrack to gain third.

Eliason took off and won going away. A good battle on the bottom saw Price-Miller hold onto second over A. McCarl early. As the bottom came in, so did Macedo, who grabbed the third and final transfer on lap six.

The 25-lapper started with Schatz getting the jump on I. Madsen and racing side by side with him while in the lead. Jeffrey slowed to a stop two laps in, bringing the only caution. He exited while Schatz led I. Madsen, Haudenschild, Kahne and Sweet back to green. Schatz was in lapped traffic by lap eight. Meanwhile, Haudenschild was cruising by I. Madsen for second. Sweet passed his boss (Kahne) for fourth on lap ten. Haudenschild was working the low side, and shot by Schatz for the lead on lap eleven. Sweet would follow him into second two laps later. Sweet used the low side to perfection as it began to take rubber. He reeled in Haudenschild and passed him with seven laps to go to take home the $5,000 winner’s share. K. Madsen was the hard-charger.
