Eagle Raceway Results and Stories

It was another fantastic night of racing Saturday night at Eagle Raceway as Pepsi and ATV Motorsports presented Freedom Fest. The great crowd of fans enjoyed some of the best, most exciting racing so far this season. After the cars were parked for the evening those same fans were treated to what may have been the largest fireworks show in the state. What a grand way to top off the day that celebrates our country’s freedom!!!

All preliminary events were run without significant happenings.

The last event was for the Duros Dent Works Racesaver IMCA Sprint Cars. Troy Sanford’s 12K, the 1B of Brandon Horton, Jordan Grabouski’s 30 and the 4X of Jason Danley led the field after lap 1. Danley got past Grabouski on lap 4 but lost the spot back to him the next circuit. Danley again passed Grabouski 3 laps later and moved to second after another 2 circuits. Trevor Grossenbacher jumped the 95 into third with 12 to go, moved to second after 3 more circuits and jumped to the point 2 laps later. Neil Nickolite hit the outside wall in turn 4 with 8 to go to slow the action. At that time, it was Grossenbacher, Sanford, Danley and Grabouski. Tyler Drueke passed Grabouski on the restart to put the 12 into fourth. Danley moved to second after 2 more laps and Drueke followed him into second after another 2 circuits. Blake Robertson made the final change in the top four 2 laps later when he put the 15 into fourth. At the checkered flag it was Grossenbacher, Danley, Drueke and Robertson.

Next weekend Demon Decals and Budweiser present Bad Fast Fever. Front gates open at 5:00 with adult admission $12, youths 6-12 just $5 and children 5 and under free.

Hot laps begin at 5:30 with racing kicking off at 6:30. The Duros Dent Works Racesaver IMCA Sprint Cars, Nebraska Lottery IJCA Modifieds, Coors Light IMCA Sportmods, Valentino’s IMCA Hobby Stocks and ATV Motorsports IMCA Sport Compacts will all be in action.

Pit gates open at 3:30 with pit passes costing $30.
