Supporters Sought for 2021 Midwest Thunder Sprints Presented by OpenWheel101.com Point Fund; Over 100 410 Sprint Car Events on Schedule!

(Mark Funderburk Photo)(Mark Funderburk Photo) (Bill W) March 11, 2021, Monroe, IA – The fifth year of the Midwest Thunder Sprints Presented by OpenWheel101.com sprint car series is getting near!  Over 100 410 sprint car events in the Midwest are part of the schedule in 2021.  With the return of competition at Huset’s Speedway in South Dakota, and several series upping their race events in the Midwest, things are definitely going to be busy this season.

The series accumulates points across all events and pays a point fund to drivers at the season’s conclusion.  100% of all donations to the series go towards the point fund.  In addition, if they choose, donors receive a FREE ad on www.OpenWheel101.com based on their donation.  To learn more, visit the site.

“Open Wheel 101 has three missions in mind,” says website proprietor, Bill Wright.  “The support of our open wheel drivers remains the top priority.  Any donations go straight to the drivers heading up and down the road, and we provide a place to advertise free of charge if those donors so choose.  We don’t make a dime on the website.  We also provide stories, results and video highlights for the World of Outlaws, USAC, All Stars, ASCS, World Series Sprintcars and other major open wheel events.  Third, the site is a good source for research of past events with our Search function.  Open Wheel 101 is a great place to store that history.  Thousands of visitors visit the site every week.”

“We encourage anyone who wants to help our local 410 racers to chip in towards the point fund.  Whether you are a company or entity who supports sprint car racing, or you are just a fan who wants to chip in a few dollars, every bit is appreciated.  The series has been a big success, and the drivers who get that welcome cash at the end of the year really appreciate our efforts!  The reopening of Huset’s Speedway on Sundays, Jacksonville Speedway adding thirteen 410 programs to their schedule, sandwiching Knoxville Raceway’s regular Saturday night program should be right up a sprint car fans’ alley!”

100% of contributions go towards the drivers and if you wish, you get FREE advertising at www.OpenWheel101.com!  Contact Bill Wright at sprntcar@hotmail.com if you’d like to contribute!

All non-Platinum WoO members are eligible for the point fund set up at OpenWheel101.com!  Four-time and defending champion, Kerry Madsen, edged Bill Balog for the 2020 championship for the second year in a row.  Despite a season shortened about two months in the Midwest, over 150 drivers earned points in 2020, and there were 14 different winners in the 55 features contested.

The 2021 season has 109 races on the Midwest Thunder Sprints presented by OpenWheel101.com schedule.  Point eligible races start with the World of Outlaws visit March 26 and 27 to US36 Raceway near Osborn, Missouri, and Lake Ozark Speedway near Eldon, Missouri.  Over 30 tracks are scheduled for events represented by sanctions from the World of Outlaws, All Stars, IRA, MOWA, and NOSA, as well as open events (see schedule below).

Last year, OpenWheel101.com, Hoseheads.com, race fans Jim Harris and Gregg Anderson, The Dirt Racing Podcast, The Podium Awards of Newport, Pennsylvania, and anonymous donors contributed!

Thousands of fans visit OpenWheel101.com each week to get the latest results, stories, video highlights, interviews and more.  You can also search there for old results and stories.  It’s a great place to advertise, and know that your contributions go straight to the drivers!  E-mail Bill Wright at sprntcar@hotmail.com to set up your deal!  Any amount is welcome!
