Harli White was the 49th entry, but the Neumeister #11N team had issues with trailer tires on the way to the track and never made it.  There was a threat of rain much of the day, and especially in the evening, but the track somehow avoided anything but a couple of brief showers.

The field was split into two groups.  Sheldon Haudenschild (10th car out to time) set quick time in the first group at 12.582 seconds on the dry-slick 3/8-mile.  Tyler Courtney (6th car out) was second quick, followed by Logan Schuchart (21st), Spencer Bayston (12th) and Kyle Larson (1st).  Aaron Reutzel (15th car out) set the standard in the second group at 12.605 seconds, followed by Cory Eliason (1st), Carson Macedo (18th), James McFadden (4th) and Brad Sweet (22nd).

Heat one (started): 1. Haudenschild 17 (1) 2. Schuchart 1s (2) 3. Larson 57 (3) 4. Zeb Wise 10 (4) 5. Christopher Bell 39 (5) / 6. DJ Foos 16 (7) 7. Hunter Schuerenberg 55 (9) 8. Stuart Brubaker 35 (11) 9. Dean Jacobs 1F (8) 10. Rico Abreu 24 (6) 11. Carson Short 70 (12) 12. Jacob Allen 1a (10)

Humongous 12-car, 10-lap heats saw the top five transfer to the feature, and the top two to the Dash.  With heats so stacked, and lined straight up, in this instance, most action was single file with Haudenschild leading the distance with Schuchart in striking range.

Heat two (started): 1. Courtney 7BC (1) 2. Bayston 11 (2) 3. Danny Dietrich 48 (3) 4. Cole Macedo 18 (4) 5. Trey Jacobs 3J (6) / 6. Tyler Gunn 27w (8) 7. Parker Price-Miller 19 (4) 8. Wayne Johnson 2c (5) 9. Greg Wilson 97 (12) 10. CJ Leary 55V (11) 11. Chris Andrews 23 (7) 12. Caleb Griffith 33w (10)

Bayston led early, but Courtney used the low side to cruise by for the win.  Jacobs grabbed the fifth and final transfer spot from Ryan on lap two.

Heat three (started): 1. Macedo 41 (2) 2. Sweet 49 (3) 3. David Gravel 2 (4) 4. Cap Henry 4 (6) 5. Marcus Dumesny 47N (5) / 6. Henry Malcuit 70m (8) 7. Jason Sides 7s (12) 8. Jordan Ryan 25R (10) 9. Shawn Dancer 49D (8) 10. Reutzel 83 (1) DNS – Ian Madsen 49x, Lachlan McHugh 101

Madsen stopped in staging and would be a scratch for the night.  While the pole-sitter Reutzel got over the turn two berm, Macedo raced to the lead ahead of Sweet and Schatz.  Reutzel would go over the back of the backstretch and head to the work area never to return with a lap in the books.  The lead five stayed the same, but Dumesny had his hands full with Malcuit, who passed him on lap five for the final transfer.  The battle went down to the wire, with Dumesny making a last lap pass for the spot.  Gravel worked over Sweet for the Dash spot, but settled for third.

Heat four (started): 1. McFadden 9 (2) 2. Eliason (1) 3. Zearfoss 3z (4) 4. Brandon Spithaler 22 (3) 5. Craig Mintz 09 (5) / 6. Donny Schatz 15 (8) 7. Sam Hafertepe Jr. 15H (6) 8. Kraig Kinser 11K (9) 9. Tim Shaffer 28 (7) 10. Duane Zablocki 9z (12) 11. Chad Kemenah 14 (10) 12. Travis Philo 5T (11)

This one was mostly a single-file affair, save Spithaler and Zearfoss, who battled for third.  Zearfoss would claim the spot after a good battle with two to go.

C main (started): 1. Abreu (1) 2. Leary (3) / 3. Griffith (7) 4. Zablocki (2) 5. Short (4) 6. Andrews (5) 7. Philo (6) DNS – Kemenah, Madsen, Allen, McHugh

The 8-lap C took the top two to the B.  Leary got into second behind Abreu right away.  Griffith was up from the tail to fourth on lap two.  Short was third when he went over the berm with three to go.  Griffith claimed third, but Abreu and Leary had left him.

Dash (started): 1. Schuchart (4) 2. Courtney (2) 3. Bayston (1) 4. Sweet (3) 5. Eliason (6) 6. McFadden (5) 7. Macedo (7) 8. Haudenschild (8)

The 8-lap Dash set the starting spots in the first four rows of the feature.  McFadden and Eliason were slotted to start in row two, but both were docked a row for being late to staging on a night when things were being moved along quickly.  Courtney grabbed the early lead over Schuchart and Bayston.  Sweet worked by Eliason for fourth on lap two.  Haudenschild got over the turn three berm and came to a stop bringing caution with five to go.  In a war of slide jobs, Schuchart took the lead from Courtney coming for the white flag.  Courtney surged back in front with a slide job in three and four, but Schuchart crossed back under him to win it.

B main (started): 1. Reutzel (2) 2. Schatz (6) 3. Malcuit (4) 4. Schuerenberg (7) / 5. Sides (8) 6. Foos (3) 7. Price-Miller (9) 8. Hafertepe Jr. (10) 9. D. Jacobs (13) 10. Wilson (15) 11. Ryan (12) 12. Leary (19) 13. Kinser (14) 14. Brubaker (11) 15. Dancer (16) 16. Gunn (5) 17. Abreu (18) 18. Shaffer (17) 19. Johnson (1)

The 12-lapper took the top four to the A.  Reutzel led Eliason, Malcuit, Gunn and Schatz early.  Malcuit passed Johnson for second on lap two.  Schatz took the final transfer from Gunn on lap three, and then got by Johnson for third.  Gunn then went over the top of turn four to bring a caution.  Schuerenberg used that restart to get by Johnson for the fourth and final transfer.  Schatz and Malcuit battled hard for second before Donny took with three to go.

A main (started): 1. Bayston (3) 2. Sweet (4) 3. Ca. Macedo (7) 4. Schatz (22) 5. Schuchart (1) 6. McFadden (6) 7. Courtney (2) 8. Haudenschild (8) 9. Henry (14) 10. Gravel (10) 11. T. Jacobs (19) 12. Wise (13) 13. Dietrich (11) 14. Schuerenberg (24) 15. Bell (17) 16. Eliason (5) 17. Zearfoss (12) 18. Spithaler (16) 19. Reutzel (21) 20. Mintz (20) 21. Co. Macedo (15) 22. Dumesny (18) 23. Malcuit (23) 24. Larson (9)

The 40-lapper saw Schuchart leading Courtney, Sweet and Bayston on lap one.  Larson spun, and so did Spithaler one lap in.  Bell visited the work area.  On the restart, things got bottled up in the back, with Co. Macedo, Zearfoss and Spithaler collected.  Larson’s car then died.  He retired.  Three laps in, Co. Macedo spun.  Schuchart picked the inside line on the restart, ahead of Courtney, Sweet, Bayston, Eliason and McFadden.  Schatz had moved from 22nd to 16th.  Courtney shot into the lead on the restart.  Schuchart wasn’t going away.  The two cars entered turn one five laps in, with Schuchart tagging Courtney in close action.  The latter spun out.  Schuchart assumed the lead, ahead of Bayston, who had passed Sweet.  Dumesny bounced off the turn four wall and down the track, collecting an unsuspecting Co. Macedo, who took a rough ride.  He was uninjured.  With seven laps in, Schuchart led Bayston, Sweet, Eliason and McFadden back to green.  Schuerenberg was up to 11th from 24th, and Schatz checked in a 15th.  The restart was a wild one that saw Bayston take the lead, and Eliason, shot up to third.  Eliason would pass Schuchart for second on lap nine, and Sweet followed him into third a lap later.  Sweet continued his charge by taking second from Eliason on lap 11, and Schuchart followed him into third on lap 14, while you could throw a blanket over those three cars.  Bayston entered lapped traffic on lap 19.  Eliason went over the top of turn four on lap 23, bringing the yellow again.  Bayston chose the inside line over Sweet, Schuchart, Macedo, Haudenschild and Wise.  Macedo shot into third on the restart, but Schuchart fought back.  He took a trip over the turn two berm, but his mistake was negated when Reutzel came to a stop in turn four with ten to go.  Schatz was up to seventh.  Bayston pulled away again to net his first career WoO win to follow up his first All Star win last weekend.  Sweet came home second, followed by Macedo, hard-charger Schatz and Schuchart.
