Night One bragging rights at the 49th South West Conveyancing Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic went the way of Lachlan McHugh after he was bale to get by polesitter Ian Madsen part way through what was a stop start 30-lap preliminary night feature event.
Madsen was impressive all night, with a strong points haul now banked, he will be looking for a strong run through his Sunday night heats to lock in a prominent feature race starting spot.
Corey McCullagh’s third place was reminiscent of his Classic winning form while Carson Macedo threw everything and some at his fourth place finish with current Aussie Champ Jamie Veal round out the top five.
The Super Rod Final capped an entertaining night of racing for the popular class with Jason Kavenagh again enjoying the Classic Stage in taking the win.
