Change in Focus

The Midwest Thunder Sprints presented by www.OpenWheel101.com is shifting its focus a bit this season to the weekly racers at the Knoxville Raceway and Huset’s Speedway.  In the past, 70-80 races have been traditionally scored in a nine-state region.  In 2022, the series point races will be 410 sprint car events at Knoxville Raceway in Iowa, Huset’s Speedway in Brandon, South Dakota and Jackson Motorplex in Jackson, Minnesota.

In addition, OpenWheel101.com will be awarding $100 to the 410 quick qualifier at each weekly racing event (excluding special shows) at Knoxville.

“OpenWheel101.com is all about giving back to the racer,” says Bill Wright of OpenWheel101.com.  “With the travel, tire costs and just the plain cost of running up and down the road, this supplementary point fund could be big for the local drivers.  We also like to recognize those that give to the point fund with free advertising on the site.  Of course, OpenWheel101.com is a great way to check out past race results, stories and video highlights from the World of Outlaws, USAC, All Stars, the ASCS and more.  So, if you want to give to our traveling racers, and get some advertising out of it, this is the best way to do it!”

Sponsors are being sought to grow the point fund for the series sixth season!  Whether you are a fan like all of us, or a business that would like advertising through the series and OpenWheel101.com, join us!

Thousands of fans visit OpenWheel101.com each week to get the latest results, stories, video highlights, interviews and more.  You can also search there for old results and stories.  It’s a great place to advertise, and know that your contributions go straight to the drivers!  E-mail Bill Wright at sprntcar@hotmail.com to set up your deal!  Any amount is welcome!
