Cars qualified in three heat groups.  Cannon McIntosh went out in the first group and set quick time overall at 14.229 seconds.  Jace Park set the quick mark in the second group on the quarter-mile at 14.379 seconds and Jade Avedisian paced the third heat group at 14.373.  Several drivers had issues and didn’t get a time in, including Adam Taylor, Sam Johnson, Emilio Hoover and Andy Baugh.

Heat one (started, *qualified for feature): 1. Jesse Love 84x (2*) 2. Bryant Wiedeman 01 (3*) 3. Chance Crum 26 (1*) 4. Jacob Denney 61 (7*) 5. Zach Daum 9m (6*) 6. Kyle Jones 7U (5) 7. Ethan Mitchell 19m (8) 8. Adam Taylor 3 (9) 9. McIntosh 08 (4)

8-lap heats inverted four and took the top 16 in combined qualifying and passing points to the feature.  Love led McIntosh and Crum early.  McIntosh hit the high side of turn two to shoot by Love for the lead on lap two.  On lap five, Wiedeman threw a slider in two on Crum to grab third.  McIntosh was cruising to victory coming for the white flag, when his car went up in smoke.  He was done for the night.  Love inherited the lead and went on to win.

Heat two (started, *qualified for feature): 1. Brenham Crouch 97 (3*) 2. Chase McDermand 40 (1*) 3. Karter Sarff 21K (6*) 4. Park 87 (4*) 5. Hayden Reinbold 19AZ (2*) 6. Mitchell Davis 56 (5) 7. Mariah Ede 71E (7) 8. Sam Johnson 72J (8) 9. Emilio Hoover 21E (9)

McDermand shot out to a lead over Crouch and Reinbold.  Park and Sarff duked it out for fourth in the mid-stages before Sarff took control and then grabbed third from Reinbold at the halfway point.  McDermand led the distance, until Crouch closed on the final lap and hit the high side of three to take the win on the last lap.

Heat three (started): 1. Daison Pursley 71 (1*) 2. Dominic Gorden 71K (2*) 3. Avedisian 84 (4*) 4. Gavin Miller 71M (8*) 5. Maria Cofer 57 (5*) 6. Taylor Reimer 25K (3*) 7. Daniel Adler 50 (6) 8. Kyle Bellman 31 (7) DNS – Andy Baugh 6B

Pursley led the distance in his first action in nine months after serious injuries that occurred on the west coast.  Bellman got over the top of turn one to bring a caution just one lap in.  Reimer and Avedisian traded third back and forth after a good duel for third.  Avedisian would advance using the low side of turn four, taking third from Reimer for good o lap four.

B main (started): 1. Mitchell (3) 2. Davis (2) 3. Ede (6) 4. Adler (4) / 5. Hoover (10) 6. Jones (1) 7. Bellman (5) 8. Johnson (7) 9. Taylor (8) DNS- McIntosh, Baugh

The 10-lapper took the top four to the feature.  Mitchell led early over Davis, Jones and Ede.  Ede swiped third from Jones on lap two.  Adler followed Ede into the final transfer on the next circuit.  The only caution came for a slowed Johnson on lap six.

Chase McDermand (Video Highlights from DirtVision.com)
A main (started): 1. McDermand (7) 2. Gorden (6) 3. Denney (11) 4. Pursley (5) 5. Miller (12) 6. Reimer (14) 7. Wiedeman (2) 8. Crum (10) 9. Daum (15) 10. Jones (21, prov.) 11. Park (8) 12. Avedisian (1) 13. Sarff (9) 14. Mitchell (17) 15. Cofer (16) 16. Crouch (4) 17. Davis (18) 18. Ede (19) 19. Adler (20) 20. Reinbold (13) 21. Hoover (22, prov.) 22. Love (3)

The 30-lapper saw seven lead changes in the first fifteen laps, and had fans on the edge of their seats.  Avedisian led lap one, but Love had the steam on the low side and went from third to first on lap two.  It was Wiedeman’s turn to do the same thing on lap three, though he rocketed to the point around the high side of turn four.  Between laps seven and nine, the lead was exchanged three times between the low riding Love and the cushion busting Wiedeman.  Denney came from row six by lap eleven and passed the top two to take a lead of his own with a masterful move.  McDermand was also on the move and claimed second from Love.  Wiedeman moved into third at that point.  Unfortunately, things were really cooking at that point, but Hoover came to a stop at the halfway point.  The restart saw McDermand struggle to take off.  That stacked up the fourth running Crouch, and the fifth running Love, who was done.  Daum, who came in as the point leader also went to the work area with a flat, as did Crum.  The restart saw Crouch top again and restart at the tail.  Denney led McDermand, Wiedeman, Sarff and Reinbold back to green.  Avedisian shot into the top four at that point, and then took third from Wiedeman on lap 17.  Surges from back in the pack continued, when Gorden passed Avedisian for third on lap 22.  Wiedeman’s top five run was ruined when he got over the top of turn one, losing several spots with six to go.  Pursley moved up to fourth with five to go.  McDermand slowly reeled in Denney and made his winning pass on the low side of four with three to go.  He held it despite one more caution for Hoover with two to go.  Gorden would throw a haymaker in the last corner to take second from Denney.  McDermand’s first Xtreme win was worth $4,000.  Jones was the hard-charger.
