It was a saving grace for Kofoid who had driven over the top of turn one and lost several spots. He led Larson, Shaffer, Macri and Marks when the green fell again. Things stayed that way except for a Marks pass of Macri until Madsen got over the top of turn one bringing a caution eight laps in. After the restart, Marks and Shaffer battled for the third spot, going back and forth until Marks took it for good on lap 12. Kofoid hit lapped traffic on lap 18, and Larson pounced for the lead on lap 19, low in turn two. He carried it until the finish, which was worth $25,000. On lap 24, Peck worked into fourth, getting by Shaffer. The last lap saw chaos for Kofoid, who lost second to Marks and third to Peck. Eliason was the hard-charger.
