Huge crowd was in the house for “Fan Appreciation Night” at Attica. Drivers drew into heat races and then timed according to what heat they were in, with three cars on the track at a time. Heats were inverted by four, taking the top five to the feature, with the top three finishers redrawing for their starting positions.

Chris Andrews (20th car to time) set quick time overall on the 1/3-mile oval at 12.521 seconds. He was followed by Caleb Griffith (3rd car out), Brandon Martin (2nd), Brian Lay (12th), Duane Zablocki (1st), Bryan Sebetto (22nd), Jamie Veal (16th), Jody Keegan (14th), Byron Reed (8th) and Caleb Helms (6th). Dean Jacobs went up in smoke in time trials and scratched for the night.

Duncan led Veal and Keegan early in the 8-lapper. Ferns spun to bring the caution with two laps down. Lay used the restart to shoot by Keegan into third.

Philo led early over Sebetto and Brubaker. Andrews took third on lap three, before Dues got over the top of turn two with five laps down. Philo led the rest of the way, white Nier made a transfer in a rare Attica appearance after a duel with Thomas.

B main (started): 1. Griffith (4) 2. Williams (1) 3. Thomas (3) 4. Heller (7) 5. Ferns (2) / 6. Jeffries (10) 7. Shelbo (5) 8. White (6) 9. Dues (8) 10. Hurst (9) DNS – Jacobs

Dues would spin before a lap could be completed, and Hurst exited with a foul sounding motor. Williams led Griffith and Ferns early on. On lap 6 of the 10-lapper, Williams would pull a 360 wpin out of the lead, but maintain second. Griffith went on to win, while Heller did nicely to move up a few spots into fourth.

Thomas spun before a lap could be completed in the 30-lapper. Lay shot out to the early lead over Andrews and Veal. Helms shot by Veal for third on the second go-around, in what would be a good battle between the two throughout. Thomas spun again on lap nine, ending his night. Lay led Andrews, Helms, Veal and Reed back to green. While the low side yielded the best groove, Sebetto hit the high side to move into the top five on lap 11. Andrews snatched the lead from Lay on lap 13 right before the caution flew for a stopped Philo. The battled waged for third between Helms and Veal until the latter performed a 360 spin, losing several spots. Martin spun on lap 25, bringing out the final caution. Andrews led Helms, Lay, Reed and Sebetto back to green with five laps to go. Lay was able to reclaim second, while Andrews cruised to the win in the Burmeister #16. Griffith, who won the B, grabbed hard-charger honors.
