Larson was in hot pursuit of Abreu six laps in when his rear axle broke in turn one sending him hard up into the turn one fence and an abrupt stop. He was uninjured. Abreu took the inside line on the double-file restart ahead of Kofoid, Courtney, Sweet, Thorson and Ca. Macedo. Sweet took third on the restart, and Ca. Macedo moved into the top five. Gravel came to a stop with mechanical issues 12 laps in and retired. Abreu led Kofoid, Swet, Courtney and Ca. Macedo back to green. Courtney slid under Sweet for third when the green fell. The final caution came on lap 19, when Gennetten performed a 360 spin. The lead five remained the same until Ca. Macedo shot by Sweet for fourth on lap 22. Abreu entered lapped traffic on lap 27. With four to go, Kofoid took a slider at the leader in turn four. Abreu just cleared on the outside, clipping Kofoid, but saving his sideways trajectory. He led to the end. Haudenschild was the hard-charger.
