Drivers were split into two qualifying groups. Brenham Crouch (4th car out to time) set quick time in the first group at 11.382 seconds. Corey Day (5th car out) was second quick, followed by Gio Scelzi (11th), Brad Sweet (22nd) and Daison Pursley (13th). Austin McCarl (5th car out) set the standard in the second group on the 1/3-mile at 11.522 seconds. Buddy Kofoid (13th) was second quick, followed by Tyler Courtney (8th), Garet Williamson (17th) and Anthony Macri (4th). Kyle Larson had issues in both hot laps and time trials (18th quick) with fuel line issues.

8-lap heats took the top five to the feature, and the heat winner and the quickest qualifier finishing in the top five to the Dash. Scelzi led the distance. Peck passed Ca. Macedo for third on lap two.

Sweet led flag to flag in a mostly single-file affair.

Macri led the distance. Thorson shot by Bacon for the final transfer spot on lap three. Randall and Thorson moved by McCarl for third and fourth on lap four. McCarl moved back by Thrson for fourth with three to go. Timms pressured Thorson for the final transfer and ran outside him on the frontstretch with two to go. Thorson drifted up the track, Timms slammed on the brakes to avoid him and settled just short of the transfer.

Williamson led Reutzel, Kofoid, Marks and Lynch early. Reutzel gained the lead on lap two, while Bayston got by Lynch for the final transfer spot. J Martin spun to bring the only caution, but the top five remained the same. Larson came from the back to sixth by the halfway point, but had nothing for Bayston.

The 10-lapper took the top two to the B. K Johnson and Doney cruised in the two transfer spots for the duration. Watt lost his left front wheel, but kept it shiny side up two laps in. Key was a mover after the restart working up from sixth to fourth.

The 7-lapper determined the top eight starting spots for the feature. Kofoid aggressively took the lead at the outset from Sweet and led the rest of the way.

The 12-lapper took the top four to the feature. Kahne led Co. Macedo, Timms, Larson and Bacon early. Not much developed until the white flag lap, when Co. Macedo slide in front of Kahne, who dropped to fourth at the checkers. Larson jumped from fourth to second, and Timms finished third. Bacon also closed late, but finished one spot out. Rico and Sams would take provisionals.

The 40-lapper paid $55,555 to win. Kofoid led at the outset over Sweet, Day, McCarl and Reutzel. On lap three, Day put a slider on Sweet for second in turns three and four and set his sights on Kofoid, who hit lapped traffic on the eighth circuit. The track was prepared well, and Kofoid stuck to the bottom until hitting traffic and starting to maneuver. Reutzel got by McCarl for fourth. Kofoid set a good pace in traffic as it appeared the race may go green to checker. Day stayed within striking distance and slide in front of the leader on lap 26. Kofoid came back down the hill and maintained his lead. Meanwhile, Reutzel gained third from Sweet. On lap 28, the 12th running Bayston tangled with the lapped car of Sams, collecting Larson, Ca. Macedo and Randall. Larson and Ca. Macedo retired. Kofoid chose the inside line on the double-file restart over Day, Reutzel, Sweet, McCarl and Macri. Macri made the low side work, jumping up to fourth. On lap 30, Day got into Kofoid, bumping wheels in turn three, but kept the chase on. A lap later, Macri went under Reutzel for third. Day was pushing things on the cushion on lap 35, when the car launched over the turn three wall and through the billboards. He walked away. Kofoid led the rest of the way for the big payday, making one of his four non-WoO races pay off. Thorson was the hard-chareger.
