Drivers were split into two qualifying groups. The track was extremely fast after an afternoon shower and got faster as the night went on. Lucas Wolfe (16th car out to time) set the standard in the first group at 15.383 seconds. Tim Wagaman Jr. (10th car out) was second quick, followed by Brady Bacon (12th), Brock Zearfoss (11th) and Danny Dietrich (9th). Ryan Smith (16th car out) was quickest overall and led the second group as well at 15.199 seconds. Kyle Larson (4th), Anthony Macri (3rd), Freddie Rahmer (15th) and Justin Whittall (12th) followed.
A power outage of approximately 30 minutes followed.

8-lap heats saw drivers foots on the floor and mostly single-file racing. The heat winners and fastest qualifiers (starting fourth) who made the top five qualified for the feature redraw.

R. Smith was running in a qualifying spot (third), when an injector issue caused him to slow on the last lap and head to the B. Stutts gained the final transfer.

The 12-lapper took the top four to the A. R. Smith led the distance, ahead of Lattomus and Givler. Attard had fourth before getting over the turn one cushion on lap three. Norris pounced on the opportunity.

The 30-lapper saw Dietrich out fast ahead of Wolfe, Larson, Zearfoss and Macri. Walker tipped over two laps in. He was ok. Bacon came alive on the restart, going from sixth to fourth. Larson shot by Wolfe on lap six for second. Dietrich was in lapped traffic on lap 11, but Givler brought the caution, cleaning the track. Dietrich led Larson, Wolfe, Bacon and Macri back to green. Zearfoss got by Macri and back into the top five before Stutts brought a caution after stopping with 18 to go. A five minute fuel stop was called. Dietrich led Larson, Wolfe, Bacon, Zearfoss and Macri back ot green. Zearfoss and Macri would both get by Bacon and into the top five. Macri would take fourth from Zearfoss. Dietrich was back in lapped traffic with 8 to go. He hesitated in lapping Newton and Larson pounced on the opportunity, making the winning pass with three to go. Norris was the hard-charger.
