After over 26 years, the NAPA All Star Circuit of Champions presented by Valvoline returned to the famed red clay of Bloomington Speedway for the Kelly Kinser Classic. Former All Star Champion, Tim Shaffer, added his 69th career All Star win and took home the $5,000 payday.
Shaffer, who started second behind Scott Bogucki, would have to bide his time as the 35-lap feature would be plagued with cautions and red flags during the first 12 laps of action.

Bogucki led every lap up until a blown right rear tire on lap 24 handed Shaffer the lead. Shaffer fended off current All Star point leader, Kalib Henry, and Auckland, New Zealand’s Max Guilford, who rounded out the top three, respectively.

“We’ve definitely been faster and are getting faster,” Shaffer said of his time this season with the Michael Dutcher 17GP.

Saturday, August 16th, the All Stars return to Paragon Speedway for the first time since 1992. Pit gates open at 4 pm, general admission gates open at 5 pm, with racing slated to start at 7 pm.
