At the drop of the green, three cars were upside down in turn one: Bartz, Schmelzle and Kubli. Wolfe led early in the 15-lapper, transferring the top ten to the A. After a lap, Morgan brought out the caution with a spin. K. Kinser was in pursuit on the high side and shot around Wolfe on the backstretch on lap six. The lap was completed before Gharst stopped in turn four and exited. The restart saw K. Kinser ahead of Wolfe, Phillips, who was then penalized two spots for jumping, Moore and Bruce. The rest of the race went non-stop. Wolfe gained on the leader in the late stages, but couldn't make the winning pass. Hafertepe's run improved his stock for Saturday night.

Semi-Feature #2 (started): 1. Jason Meyers 14 (1) 2. Johnny Herrera 2w (3) 3. Zach Zimmerly 94 (6) 4. Brooke Tatnell 59 (8) 5. Trevor Green 4 (2) 6. Fred Rahmer 51 (12) 7. Clint Garner 40 (4) 8. Meyers led the distance. One caution was brought out for Antill and Ingle who broke front ends on lap four. Meyers led Green, Herrera, Zimmerly and Garner on that restart. Rahmer was up to eighth at that point and added two more spots. Herrera did well to finish second behind Meyers who won easily.

A main (started): 1. K. Kinser (1) 2. Meyers (2) 3. Wolfe (3) 4. Herrera (4) 5. Bruce Jr. (5) 6. Tatnell (8) 7. Zimmerly (6) 8. Droud Jr. (11) 9. Phillips (7) 10. Veal (15) 11. Green (10) 12. K. Kinser led every lap in a typical one-lane daytime race. The win was worth $5,000 and was Kraig's third in his career at Knoxville. The track was reworked a bit before the World Challenge.

World Challenge (started): 1. Craig Dollansky 7 (7) 2. Wolfe (2) 3. Max Dumesny 5V (3) 4. Green (1) 5. Jonathan Allard 0 (4) 6. Kerry Madsen 3 (13) 7. Paul McMahan 91x (8) 8. Joey Saldana 9 (9) 9. Swindell had problems before the race and did not start the 20-lapper. After the track reworking, there was some room on top. Green led early ahead of Wolfe. Dollansky hit the high side and gained several spots. He took the lead on lap ten, but it was negated by a caution for debris. The restart saw Green leading Dollansky, Wolfe, Allard, Max Dumesny and a charging Madsen. Madsen advanced as far as fourth after the restart. Three laps into green, Dollansky circled around Green for the lead. Max Dumesny snaked by Madsen, Allard and Green for a podium finish. Tatnell was the hard-charger. Dollansky's win was his 11th, and worth $10,000.
