It was cool Saturday night as the Nebraska Lottery presented Get Fired Up 2017. A great crowd filled the stands and 178 teams of racers filled the pits. 20 heats and 5 B Features set the line-ups for the main events.
There were no significant incidents in those preliminary races.
Shayle Bade’s 03 led the pack on the first lap of the Racesaver IMCA Sprint Cars with the rest of the top 4 being Tyler Drueke’s 12, Joey Danley in the 14 and the 2J of Zach Blurton. The yellow lights were lit for a car spinning in turn 4 on lap 2. Trevor Grossenbacher’s #35 spun in turn 4 on lap 9 and went to the pits on the hook. Mike Boston looped the 51 in turn 2 on lap 11. Danley moved to second on lap 17 with Matt Richards putting the 1R into fourth. 2 laps later Danley took the lead with Richards advancing to third the next time around. Lap 23 saw Terry Richards’ 18 take over the fourth position making the final top 4 Danley, Bade, Matt Richards and Terry Richards.

Next weekend Kaplan University and Hoosier Tire present the Sizzlin’ Spring Fling. Happy D Klown will be there from 5:30 to 7:30. Proceeds from the 50/50 drawing will go to Eagle Vision. Front gates open at 5:15, hot laps begin at 5:30 with racing at 6:30. Adult admission is $10, youths 6-12 are $5 with children 5 and under free.
Pit gates open at 4:00 and pit admission is $25.
