Heavy conditions have been the norm early this season at 34 Raceway, but Saturday was much different.  “The track started out wet on top, but that pretty much blew off after hot laps,” says Bailey.  “It really dried out from there.  The cushion ended up being about halfway up the track in three and four, but it got pushed over the top in one and two, where there’s no wall.”

Bailey started third in her heat.  “There really wasn’t a whole lot of passing all night long,” she says.  “It was a situation where everyone was running the same line…the middle of three and four, and the bottom of one and two.  Even though we finished third, the car was good.”

The team changed their setup for the feature.  “The car was working pretty well,” says Bailey.  “There just wasn’t a whole lot of opportunities to move forward.  We were a little loose too.  We’ve been trying some new things.  We used some different ideas, and we experimented a little bit, and ended up ninth.”

Bailey will be busy this weekend.  “We’re excited about having two races this weekend,” she says.  “We want to get some momentum going at both Jacksonville and Burlington.”
