(Bill W) May 8, 2017 – Two top five finishes have Brian Brown at the top of the Midwest Thunder Sprint Cars presented by www.OpenWheel101.com point standings heading into another busy weekend. The Grain Valley, Missouri driver finished fifth Friday night with the World of Outlaws at the Missouri State Fair Speedway in Sedalia, and second at the Knoxville Raceway in Iowa Saturday night.
Kerry Madsen used a third place finish in Sedalia and a seventh place run at Knoxville to move into second in the standings. Donny Schatz was the winner in Sedalia, while Ian Madsen visited Victory Lane at Knoxville. Five different drivers have won the five Midwest Thunder Sprint Cars events contested thus far.
The schedule will see two events this weekend. Friday night, the Jackson Motorplex will host the 410’s for its Spring Nationals. The second race of the weekend will be back at Knoxville Raceway in Iowa.
