(Bill W) May 22, 2017 – Mother Nature was the big winner last weekend at both Knoxville Raceway in Iowa Saturday and at Angell Park Speedway in Wisconsin on Sunday.

The event at Angell Park Speedway in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin drew 53 410 sprint cars, but a persistent mist on an already damp grounds nixed things after time trials.  The event will be made up on Thursday, June 8.  The IRA will definitely sanction the event, and the All Stars will reassess whether they will return, though owner, Tony Stewart, has committed to competing that night.  The All Stars have three events planned that weekend already…two in Illinois and one at 34 Raceway in West Burlington, Iowa on Sunday, June 11.

The Midwest Thunder Sprint Cars presented by www.OpenWheel101.com schedule has been updated.  The makeup event in Sun Prairie has been added, and with Badlands Motor Speedway ceasing operations, two dates have been subtracted.  Stay tuned to the website for weekly updates and point standings.

Point eligible races return this Memorial Day weekend at Jackson Motorplex in Minnesota on Friday, and Knoxville Raceway in Iowa Saturday.

Join us in supporting sprint car racing in the Midwest!
