(Bill W) July 10, 2017 – Ian Madsen racked up his fourth win at the Knoxville Raceway this season on Saturday night.  It was also his fifth win with the Midwest Thunder Sprints presented by www.OpenWheel101.com.  On Thursday, Kraig Kinser picked up the World of Outlaws win at the rain-delayed Deer Creek Speedway near Spring Valley, Minnesota.  Friday night, it was Kerry Madsen who recorded his third Midwest Thunder win of the year against the WoO at Cedar Lake Speedway near New Richmond, Wisconsin.

The schedule has seen sixteen different winners in 28 events.  Kerry Madsen still sits atop the point race, ahead of Ian Madsen, Donny Schatz, Brad Sweet and Brian Brown.  complete the top ten.  David Gravel, Brooke Tatnell, Shane Stewart, Daryn Pittman and Austin McCarl round out the top ten.

With most of the WoO events completed on the schedule, more local racing should see some of the drivers from the Midwest elevating in the standings.  This weekend, point eligible events will be run at both Jackson Motorplex in Minnesota on Friday and at Knoxville Raceway in Iowa Saturday.
