Seth Brahmer (5th car out to time) set quick time for the first time in his career at 15.188 seconds. Josh Schneiderman (3rd car out) was second quick, followed by Brian Brown (9th), Don Droud Jr. (16th), Johnny Herrera (23rd), Calvin Landis (10th), Bronson Maeschen (26th), Jesse Giannetto (30th), Chad Meyer (4th) and Pete Crall (8th). Lynton Jeffrey had issues timing in 30th and went home to get a different car.

Goldesberry took a rough ride down the frontstretch after launching over a sideways Ingalls before a lap could be completed. Herrera took the lead from Morgan with two to go.

Heat three (started): 1. Dusty Zomer 17G (2) 2. Bob Weuve 19 (1) 3. Brown 21 (6) 4. Meyer 4 (4) 5. Billy Alley 22 (8) / 6. Landis 70 (5) 7. Austin McCarl 17A (3) 8. Tony Shilling 2T (9) 9. Mark Dobmeier 13 (7) DNS - Lynton Jeffrey 24

Zomer led flag to flag. Dobmeier got sideways in turn three and backed into the wall. The damage was enough to retire. Brown and Meyer had a good battle for third in the late stages.

B main (started): 1. Schneiderman (2) 2. Jeffrey 24x (11) 3. Landis (3) 4. Dobmeier (7) 5. Brahmer (1) / 6. Ry. Anderson (9) 7. Moore (6) 8. Dodge (8) 9. Crall (4) 10. McCarl (5) 11. Shilling (10) DNS - Griffith, Ingalls, Montgomery, Goldesberry

McCarl and Crall both stopped with mechanical issues. Schneiderman held off Jeffrey, who impressed from the tail.

A main (started): 1. Herrera (10) 2. Maeschen (9) 3. Zomer (3) 4. Jackson (2) 5. Heskin (5) 6. Droud Jr. (11) 7. Morgan (1) 8. Brown (12) 9. Dobmeier (19) 10. Jeffrey (17) 11. Phillips (4) 12. Meyer got sideways and flipped in turn three before a lap could be completed. Giannetto and Brown could not avoid the accident, and Giannetto retired with damage. Brown replaced both wings and restarted at the tail. Zomer jumped out to a large lead early in the 20-lapper. Soon, Heskin was by Jackson and Morgan into second. On lap 12, the only caution of the race came out for a stopped Higday, who was running solidly in the top ten. The restart saw Zomer ahead of Heskin, Herrera, Jackson and a surging Maeschen. Herrera worked his way by Heskin, but no one had anything for Zomer, who continued to pull away. On lap 19, his brakes locked up in turn four, and he began to fishtail down the frontstretch. Herrera and Maeschen went by the hapless machine to finish one/two, while Zomer held on for third. Herrera's 15th career Knoxville win earned $3000 for the win, $300 for hard-charger, and half a beef, the customary winner's share during the Marion County Fair.

The car launched over the turn four wall, taking out several billboards. The safety crew made the trip outside the raceway, but both drivers were uninjured in the incident. Zoutte and Hunt were involved in another incident on lap seven, resulting in a Hunt tipover. On lap eight, Roberts took the lead from D. Hall in a good racelong battle. Tatnell was running seventh, when he came to rest with two laps to go. Agan also suffered problems. The restart saw Logan ahead of Moore Jr., Garner, Martin and Selvage. Logan went low to block any Moore Jr. sliders and collected his fifth career 360 feature, and Selvage passed both Martin and Garner to move to the podium. Anderson was the hard-charger.

Ross (8) DQ (Weight) - Phillips (7, crossed 2nd); (Weight) - Kubli (1, crossed 3rd)

After Marty Stephenson spun and Ross suffered a broken front axle after contact with another competitor, Kubli led early in the 12-lapper. Five laps were in the books when Marty Stephenson stopped in turn four. Kubli led a surging St. Arnold, a charging Matt Stephenson, Stelzer and Phillips back to green flag racing. St. Arnold worked his way by on teh restart, but his lead was erased on lap 11, when Saffell tipped over in turn one. The two lap dash to the finish was exciting with St. Arnold and Kubli exchanging the lead with two to go. Phillips was right there in third and ready to pounce. On the white flag lap, Phillips edged ahead for the lead. Entering turn three, St. Arnold slid to go for the lead. Phillips had to get on the binders, and St. Arnold crossed first. In the end, the second and third place finishers failed to make weight, while the winner was right on the 1550 pound limit.
