Lynton Jeffrey (17th car out to time) set the standard in time trials at 14.932 seconds on a heavy, fast track. Dusty Zomer (16th car out) was second quick, followed by Kerry Madsen (5th), Brian Brown (6th), Don Droud Jr. (11th), Terry McCarl (19th), Bronson Maeschen (13th), Davey Heskin (21st), Rager Phillips (18th) and Josh Schneiderman (2nd). Austin McCarl had mechanical problems during his one lap of qualifying.

Heskin jumped out to a sizable lead in the 20-lapper before a lap four caution for a spun C. Shilling, who would then tip it over in turn one on the restart. Heskin led Maeschen, Brown, Zomer and T. McCarl back to green flag racing. The racing was intense for third between Brown and Zomer before Brown took the advantage for good. Dobmeier won a battle for sixth with Madsen before Maeschen, who was running second came to a stop on lap 13 and retired. Phillips exited under caution as well. Heskin had built up a sizable lead with two lapped cars between himself and second with eight laps to go. Now Brown assumed second on his nerf bar, ahead of Zomer, T. McCarl and Dobmeier. Heskin was solid, but Brown patiently worked until getting by for the winning pass on lap 17. It was Brown's 16th career 410 win at Knoxville, and was worth $3000. Madsen made a last lap pass of Zomer to move into the top five, and Herrera was the hard-charger, movign forward ten spots.

CJ Houseman got upside down hard in turn two at the outset, but was uninjured. Beaver went up in smoke on the white flag lap while running second.

Van Haaften was sent to the back for jumping the first start in the 10-lapper. On the second start, Zoutte and O'Banion took tumbles in one and two. Neither was injured. On the third try, Phillips slid into Corbin in turn one, sending both cars into a wicked set of flips. Corbin got air enough to knock down some billboards and send his fuel tank onto Highway 14. There was a delay so the fuel could be contained by local authorities. Houseman Jr. had nowhere to go and slammed into Phillips, leaving three cars upside down. No one was hurt. Once underway, the race went non-stop, with Roberts pacing the field most of the way. Humston found a higher line on the fast track and slung around the leader, who was caught in lapped traffic, on the last lap for the win.

Montgomery had a good start inside of J. Hall, and the two contacted down the front straight with J. Hall's left front clipping the right rear of Montgomery. J. Hall spun in front of the field and collected Agan. Both drivers flipped violently down the front straightaway. J. Hall was taken in complaining of back pain and a possible broken toe. Moro led the 15-lapper early, but Cornell was right on his bumper. On lap seven, he drove by the leader. On lap nine, Cram stopped, bringing out the only caution of the race. Cornell led Moro, D. Hall, Lenz and Montgomery back to green flag racing. Cornell was never headed, winning his second feature of the season and his career at Knoxville. It paid him $1000. Humston went up in smoke on the white flag lap. D. Hall worked by Moro late for second, while Garner earned hard-charger honors.

Humston led the first three laps before he went up in smoke for a second time and retired. Anderson assumed the point ahead of Selvage, Mosher, Roberts and Mather. Three laps later, Martin was running tenth when he came to a stop and was done. Now Anderson led Selvage, Roberts, Mosher and Dobesh. On lap 10, Garner and Mather battled for sixth when Garner got over the inside berm in turn two and then slid up the track contacting Mather. Mather got upside down, but was uninjured. The restart saw Anderson ahead of Selvage, Roberts, Dobesh and a surging Moore Jr. Anderson rode out the last six laps on his way to his 8th career Knoxville win. Cornell came storming late to a top five finish and a hard-charger award.

Lamb led the 12-lapper early, but it was evident that Phillips, fresh off a scary crash in the 360s was unphased and headed toward the front. The 16 year old took the point on lap three and never looked back. Palmer tipped over on lap four, and Coleman did the same on lap 11. Both were unhurt. Mincer made a pass of Alexander before the lap 11 Coleman incident, but that was negated. It was Phillips first Knoxville win. Clark was the hard-charger, moving forward 10 spots.
