McCarl led the distance in the non-stop 25-lapper to his second new track record of the night. This one was set at 6:53.8. K. Kinser remained close much of the race and the pair battled side by side for a few laps. McCarl did an adequate job of getting through traffic, and began putting lapped cars between himself and K. Kinser. The dicing back and forth through the field kept things interesting, especially with the leaders in traffic. Schatz made a late race move into the top three and then took K. Kinser for second with a few laps to go. Sides moved up seven spots to earn hard-charger honors. The win was McCarl's 44th career victory at Knoxville, moving him into fourth place by himself, behind Lasoski, Kinser and Wolfgang. It was worth $10,000.
