Brad Loyet – Hitting the Road in Less than a Month!

(Al Steinberg Photo)(Al Steinberg Photo) (Bill W) February 16, 2016 – Brad Loyet and the Vacuworx Global #o5 team will be entering another busy race season in less than a month.  After a year that saw the Sunset Hills, Missouri driver run a true Outlaw schedule with many new venues, the team will return to the familiar ASCS National Series in 2016.  The series will open with a two-night event, Friday, March 11 and Saturday, March 12 at Creek County Speedway near Sapulpa, Oklahoma.

Brad explained the team’s decision.  “Our main focus will be the ASCS National series this year.  It just makes sense right now…the money involved, we just can’t pass up.  On top of that, with the number of shows (around 20) on MAVTV this year, and Lucas Oil online (for every race)…it just added up to the most sense for us.”

Brad and the team welcome back their sponsors from a year ago.  “We’re extremely fortunate to have Vacuworx Global and all of our partners back with us,” he says.  “Actually we could use a partner to help us with our fuel as well this year.  We’re always excited to welcome new partners on board.”

He’s looking forward to the challenge of chasing the ASCS National Series.  “There are a lot of tracks on the schedule that we know we’ve run well at,” says Brad.  “There are some places we’ve struggled at in the past that aren’t on the schedule.  So things are playing into our hands a little bit that way.”

In 2014, Brad entered the final weekend leading the point race, but couldn’t quite close it out.  “We have some good things here in the shop,” he says.  “I have a great guy working for me here, and I don’t see why we can’t go out and win some races.  We’ve been a contender for the championship in the past.  This year, we’d like to put a fork in it and finish it off if we can.”

You can count on the team competing with the 410 again here and there this season.  “We’ll definitely be doing some 410 stuff as well,” says Brad.  “We’ll definitely be active with that when it doesn’t interfere.  From the money side of things, it made the most sense to do the ASCS.  On top of that, I’ve got some things going on personally that the schedule works out well for.”
