Skip Jackson presided over group qualifying with a time of 15.230 seconds. He was followed by Don Droud Jr., Bob Weuve, Josh Schneiderman, Chris Morgan, Davey Heskin, Calvin Landis, Johnny Herrera, Billy Balog and Brian Brown. Billy Alley attempted twice to get a time, but failed due to mechanical woes. Derek Ingalls also failed to get a time in.

Moore led the 8-lapper that transferred the top five to the feature for the distance. Brahmer was running strong in second until he tangled with the lapped machine of Alden, affecting the handling in his front end, and costing him a transfer. Jackson did well to move up from sixth.

Dobmeier shot out to an early lead and pulled away for the win. Wirth held down the final transfer until Heskin and Droud battled by late. Droud passed Heskin for fourth on the final go-around.

Crall led early before a stoppage for a stopped Phillips on lap four. On the restart, Landis moved by Crall for the lead, only to slow to a stop and retire for the evening. Weuve was now in second and on the move, using the low groove to steal the point on lap five. Maeschen approached the leader on the final lap and beat Weuve to the line by .041 seconds at the checkers.

Reinke led the first half of the heat, with Herrera blowing to the front on lap five. Alley was in a transfer spot from the tail by the halfway point, and in fourth by lap six. A spin by VanderVere on lap seven set up a duel between Meyer and Anderson for the final transfer. The pair exchanged the spot twice, but it was Meyer gaining it back on the final lap.

Before the start, VanderVere and Ingalls stopped in turns three and four, retiring for the night. Schneiderman led the 12-lap duration despite a pair of stoppages. On lap seven, Mock spun on the frontstretch while running sixth after a battle with McCarl. Anderson and Brahmer battled behind Schneiderman for the second spot, before Borland tipped over in turn four. Ingalls was also involved in teh melee and retired. McCarl had passed Wirth who had clung to the final transfer for most of the race, qualifying the high school sophomore for his first career feature at Knoxville.

Herrera led the 20-lapper early before Biertzer tagged the first turn wall on lap two. The restart saw Herrera ahead of Jackson, Droud Jr., Heskin, and Morgan. Jackson stuck with the leader while fighting off Droud Jr. before a lap six stoppage for Moore, who jumped the turn one cushion and crashed hard. He was unhurt. Brown had passed Heskin for fourth, and Alley had surged from 20th to 11th at that point. After the green fell, Jackson stuck with Herrera for several laps. Droud Jr. used the low side of turn four to get by Jackson, and Brown followed him into third. Alley continued his charge into the top five as the rest of the laps went non-stop, and earned an extra $200 for hard-charger. Herrera couldn't shake Droud Jr., but the last eight laps belonged to him as he sliced through lapped traffic with precision, gaining his 11th career win at Knoxville paying $3,000.

The first try at green saw Mosher get into the turn four wall, ending his night. The next try was no good either, as Padellford tumbled in turn three. He was uninjured. Once underway, Beaver lead early in the 7-lapper. Humston moved into third on the opening circuit and had the lead by lap four, continuing his impressive start to the season. Roberts was fast late, challenging Zoutte for fourth and what would have been a transfer, but he came up short.

Anderson led the non-stop race flag to flag. Martin looked fast, and came just short of second at the line, but Logan was the story, charging from the tail to fourth.

Hall exited immediately. Thompson led early, but gave way to a quick Garner on lap three. Bergman looked fast in the stacked heat, as did Grosz, who continues to improve at Knoxville. Meyer and Eckard bicycled together to start the event, but kept it sunny-side-up.

Cornell led early, but Van Haaften used a sticky low groove to work to the lead for good on lap two. He checked out on the rest of the field.

J. Hall led throughout. Hunt stopped and exited on lap two, bringing the only slowdown in the 6-lapper.
B main (started): 1. Roberts (1) 2. Moore Jr. (4) 3. Bakker (2) 4. Mather (8) / 5. Corbin (10) 6. Montgomery (6) 7. Moro (11) 8. Meyer (17) 9. Phillips (3) 10. Wolfgang (13) 11. Russell (5) 12. Roberts led the duration of the 10-lapper. Higday and Houseman Jr. contacted at the start, sending the latter pitside with a flat left rear. Higday would later end up in the fence on lap five. The only slowdown of the race saw Roberts leading Bakker, Moore Jr., Montgomery and Mather back to green flag racing. Moore Jr. and Bakker battled for second, while the leader pulled away. Mather got by Montgomery for the final transfer and then held off Corbin's advances.

Cornell retired before a lap was complete. Logan ducked under the front row going into turn one when the green fell, and started pulling away from Anderson who followed him from row two. The 15-lapper saw Logan open up a three second lead before the halfway point, when Grosz, who was running eighth took a hard ride after contact with another car in turn two. He was uninjured. The restart saw Logan leading Anderson, Martin, Garner and Lenz. Martin used the low side to battle by Anderson into second, and Garner followed suit. Humston worked over Lenz late for a spot in the top five. Mather earned hard-charger honors by advancing 11 spots from row ten. Logan's dominating win was his fourth in a 360, and eigth overall at Knoxville.
