Runge led throughout. Dobesh tried several times to move by D. Ossenfort late, but couldn't quite get it done and settled for third.

Brown led flag to flag with Alley in tow. Bakker came from the tail to third, making the bottom work for him.

B main one (started): 1. L. Kennedy (5) 2. Danley (3) 3. Chadd (1) 4. Hall (2) / 5. Anderson (7) 6. Garner (4) 7. McCarl (8) 8. T. Kennedy (14) 9. Grossenbacher (10) 10. J. Ossenfort (17) 11. Peterson (11) 12. Riggins (15) 13. K. Klabunde (16) 14. Wolfgang (6) 15. O'Banion (12) 16. Sundquist (13) 17. Boston (9)

Danley was the early leader. L. Kennedy did well to move up and slid by for the lead on lap seven of twelve. There was also great racing in positions three through six for the final transfer.

B main two (started): 1. Droud (1) 2. Humston (3) 3. Jensen (2) 4. Zomer (4) / 5. Morgan (12) 6. Meyer (5) 7. Lutz (7) 8. J. Klabunde (9) 9. Gossel (11) 10. Heffner (8) 11. Griffis (10) 12. Gabelhouse (16) 13. Richardson (17) 14. Wagner (15) 15. Becker Jr. (13) 16. Ingle (6) 17. Van Wyhe (14)

Before a lap could be completed, Griffis spun collecting Gabelhouse. Both continued. Droud was the early leader until lap eight, when Duluth's Wagner spun. On the restart, an incident involving Becker, and Van Wyhe and Ingle who exited stopped things. On the restart, Humston claimed the lead from Droud. Before another lap could be completed, Wagner spun for a second time. Droud took the point back on the restart and never looked back. Morgan made a charge from row six, but fell one spot short with a late attempt at a pass of Zomer.

A main (started): 1. Cornell (5) 2. Nygaard (2) 3. Grosz (4) 4. L. Kennedy (13) 5. Alley (10) 6. Brown (11) 7. Rosenboom (8) 8. Dobesh (3) 9. Droud (14) 10. Bakker (6) 11. Roberts (7) 12. Humston (16) 13. Danley (15) 14. Bickett (12) 15. Zomer (20) 16. D. Ossenfort (9) 17. Hall (19) 18. Jensen (18) 19. Runge (1) 20. Chadd (17)

Nygaard jumped out to a good lead at the outset of the 25 lapper. Rubber started developing around lap eight, as cars settled towards the middle of the 3/8 mile banked oval. Cornell was able to power under Nygaard on lap ten to take the lead. The top five was pretty much set on lap 21, when Zomer had a tire go down. Jensen, Danley and Runge, who was running seventh also succombed to flats. Friday's winner Alley worked his way up to fifth, but could do nothing with L. Kennedy on the one-lane track. Cornell pulled away after the lap 21 restart for the well deserved win worth $1,500 in $2 bills.
