Alley took the lead early and pulled away on the high side.  Johnson drove over the berm on lap three, while running second and dropped back to fifth before he got going again.  Jackson ran second, and Johnson was back up to third by lap 12, when Gilpin spun on the backstretch.  Trailing the lead three for the restart were Mincer in his 360, Moughan and Rockhold.  Alley continued to build his lead for the next eight laps, when he approached lapped traffic.  He tried to squeeze between a pair of cars and slowed.  Jackson pounced on the opportunity and drove into the lead on lap 20.  Alley lost a stop shortly after and skidded to the top of turn two.  After making repairs, he rejoined a field that was now led by Jackson ahead of Johnson, Moughan, Mincer and Rockhold.  After the restart, rubber became a big factor through the middle of the track, and negated any chance Johnson had of passing the leader.  Jackson went on to his first win of the year and collected $2,500, despite one more caution for a stopped Gilpin.  Mincer made a late charge by Moughan to collect the $300 bonus for the highest finishing 360.  Maeschen charged from the back after restarting at the tail on lap 12 to finish sixth, while Alley recovered for ninth.  Thompson was the hard-charger, moving forward five spots.
