Haudenschild (24th car out to time) established quick time on the high-banked quarter mile to earn a $300 bonus. McMahan (35th car out) was second quick, followed by Hillier (22), Kahne (19), Tatnell (10), Schatz (27), Meyers (30), Chaney (1), Danny Smith (40) and Henderson, who went out second.

Heat 1 (10 laps) 1 Haudenschild, 2 Kinser, 3 Tatnell, 4 Hafertepe, 5 D.Jacobs. DNQ 6 Hannagan, 7 D.Smith, 8 Wolfe, 9 White, 10 Daggett, 11 Stewart

Contact between Haud and Smith on the first lap, sent Smith reeling back to eighth. Stewart took the early lead. Stewart built a sizable margin until going up in smoke on lap seven. That handed the lead to Haud ahead of Tatnell, Kinser, Hafertepe and Jacobs. Kinser was able to pilfer the second transfer to the dash from Tatnell with a slider late.

Heat 2 (10 laps) 1 Lasoski, 2 Schatz, 3 Henderson, 4 McMahan, 5 Reed. DNQ 6 Blaney, 7 Bruce, 8 Mayes, 9 Hindi, 10 Kemenah, 11 Yoakam

Lasoski led flag to flag, leaving the biggest battle for Schatz and Henderson. Schatz was able to take the all important second place spot on lap six. Reed drove by Blaney early for the final A main transfer. Yoakam retired early.

Heat 3 (10 laps) 1 Dollansky, 2 Madsen, 3 Wilson, 4 Meyers, 5 Saldana. DNQ 6 Shaffer, 7 Pittman, 8 Hillier, 9 Carlson, 10 Brecht

It took five starts to finally get this one going. On the first try, a four-wide scramble for the lead ended with Hillier slamming into the wall and shearing off his right front. The second try saw Shaffer get sideways and collect Saldana. Both restarted at the rear, as did Hillier, who had time to fix the front end. On the next try, Dolllansky jumped from the pole handing it to Meyers. The good luck was short-lived as Meyers spun in one and two on the next try. Hillier came to a stop on yet another try, while Brecht tipped over on the frontstretch simultaneously. Pittman went to the work area to make repairs to his machine. After inheriting the pole again, Dollansky led the duration when the race finally went green. Wilson held down third despite smacking the wall on one of the original starts. Saldana and Meyers exchanged some serious sliders early on in a battle for fourth.

Heat 4 (10 laps) 1 McCarl, 2 Chaney, 3 Campbell, 4 Sides, 5 B.Martin. DNQ 6 Kahne, 7 Andrews, 8 Stark, 9 J.Martin, 10 Solwold

McCarl took the early lead. Solwold and J.Martin contacted back in the pack at the halfway point. J.Martin stuck himself in the wall, and Solwold folded his front end. Despite having a crippled car, Solwold stayed on the gas after spinning around in order to hit the hapless J.Martin under caution. He then got out of the car to tell him what he thought. When crew members entered the fray, officials and security had to be called in to restore order.

McCarl led Chaney, Campbell, Kahne and Sides back to green lag racing. Four more laps were in the book when Andrews spun on lap nine. McCarl led Chaney, who was battling Campbell for second, Sides, Kahne and B.Martin, who did an outstanding job of passing the NASCAR star for the final transfer on the last lap. Chaney was able to hold off Campbell by a fraction of a second for the runner-up spot.

C-main (10 laps) 1 Daryn Pittman, 2 Dion Hindi. DNQ 3 Dustin Daggett 2m $125, 4 Bruce White 96 $125, 5 Brock Mayes 11b $125, 6 Chris Andrews 15c $100, 7 Lee Stark 16 $100. DNS Brian Carlson 18c $100, Dennis Yoakam 22d $100, Shane Stewart 8h $100.

Pittman led ahead of Hindi. Daggett made a late charge but ran out of laps.

Crane Cams Dash (8 laps) 1 Dollansky, 2 Haudenschild, 3 Lasoski, 4 Chaney, 5 Kinser, 6 McCarl, 7 Madsen, 8 Tatnell, 9 McMahan, 10 Schatz

Dollansky led flag to flag. The most intense racing was for fifth when McCarl and Kinser exchanged sliding choppers, and Kinser and Chaney late. Chaney was able to hold on after exchanging fourth with the King.

B-main (12 laps) 1 Kasey Kahne, 2 Dale Blaney, 3 Danny Smith, 4 Chad Hillier. DNQ 5 Daryn Pittman 21 $200, 6 Chad Kemenah 8k $180, 7 Tony Bruce Jr 18 $175, 8 Randy Hannagan 1x $160, 9 Jason Solwold R19 $150, 10 Lucas Wolfe 13k $150, 11 Dion Hindi 11h $150, 12 Jason Martin 36 $150, 13 Tim Shaffer 6 $150. DNS Mike Brecht 97 $150.

Kahne led the duration, but had to hold off a low side charge by Blaney much of the way. The track lent to three distinct grooves, and Blaney was using the middle of turns three and four to gain on the leader. Pittman's charge from the tail came up one spot short of a transfer. He would join Solwold in using a provisional.

A-main (40 laps) 1 Jac Haudenschild 35 [2] $10,000, 2 Steve Kinser 11 [5] $5500, 3 Jason Meyers 14 [13] $3200, 4 Craig Dollansky 7 [1] $2800, 5 Brooke Tatnell 2 [8] $2500, 6 Donny Schatz 15 [10] $2300, 7 Rob Chaney 24h [4] $2200, 8 Joey Saldana 9 [18] $2100, 9 Paul McMahan 20 [9] $2050, 10 Danny Lasoski 83 [3] $2000, 11 Kasey Kahne 9 [12] $1500, 12 Daryn Pittman 21 (provisional), 13 Dale Blaney 2 [17] $1100, 14 Brandon Martin 11m [19] $1050, 15 Chad Hillier 5 [11] $1000, 16 Jeremy Campbell 10c [16] $900, 17 Danny Smith 4 [14] $800, 18 Greg Wilson W20 [22] $800, 19 Justin Henderson D1 [15] $800, 20 Kerry Madsen 11h [7] $800, 21 Sam Hafertepe Jr 15 [24] $800, 22 Jason Sides 7s [23] $800, 23 Jason Solwold R19 (provisional), 24 Byron Reed 5r [20] $800, 25 Terry McCarl 24 [6] $800, 26 Dean Jacobs 7k [21] $800. WoO Lap Leader) Haudenschild 1-40

Haudenschild led lap one of the slugfest. Madsen smacked the wall while running in the top ten on lap two. Haud led Dollansky, Chaney, McCarl and Lasoski back to green. Kinser entered the fray, getting by Lasoski, McCarl, Chaney and Dollansky and into the runner-up. McCarl followed him by Dollansky as the lead trio entered dense traffic. On lap 13, Kinser slid in front of two lapped cars coming out of turn two and slowed dramatically. That triggered a chain reaction in which the two lapped cars hammered their brakes.

McCarl, who had a lot of momentum coming out of the turn, came upon the checked-up cars and had to take evasive action. Trying to squeeze between the cars and the wall, he tagged the concrete and flipped down the backstraight, ending a fine run.

Haud led Kinser, Dollansky, Chaney, Tatnell and McMahan back to racing. The final 28 laps went non-stop. Haud used his experience to thread traffic, while Kinser could never really make a serious bid. Late movers included Meyers, who finished a fine run in third, and Schatz. Pittman was the Hard Charger, moving forward 13 spots. The multi-groove track made it an action packed night.
