Brad’s original plan was with the Sprint Invaders in Donnellson, Iowa Friday.  They ended up getting their show in despite rains beforehand.  “It looked like Donnellson was going to get hammered, so we headed towards Cameron,” he says.  “We knew we would get the show in for sure there.  We finished third in our heat, but with just ten cars there, everyone was pretty much going to make the redraw.”

He drew the five for his starting spot in the feature.  “(Jonathan) Cornell was in front of us, and I knew he was the guy we were going to have to get by,” says Brad.  “We fell into third really quickly.  Cornell was able to get by the (Miles) Paulus kid.  Paulus was able to figure out the line after that, so it took me a while to get by him.”

Brad would move into second and try to reel in the leader.  “We closed up on Cornell pretty quickly,” he says.  “It was getting late though.  I think with a few more laps we could have made a run, but it was too little, too late, at that point.”

He started in the fourth row inside for his heat at Sedalia Sunday.  “We started in the back of the heat,” says Brad.  “I was kind of stuck in the inside row.  The yellow came out at one point, and that hurt us even more for where we started.  Typically, at Sedalia you make your move in the first couple laps and fall in line.  We ended up fifth.  We had a really good car.  It just wasn’t enough to make the redraw.”

Brad would post outside row six for the main event.  “We’re usually really strong at Sedalia,” he says.  “We were moving forward into sixth.  We were running down (Seth) Bergman and (Gio) Scelzi.  If we could have had one more yellow, I think we could have challenged for the podium, but that’s just how it shook out.  We ended up sixth.”

Brad will be a hired gun this Saturday night at the St. Francois County Raceway near Farmington, Missouri.  “I’m looking forward to running for Joe Reddick this Saturday in Farmington,” he says.  “It will be the Dean Adams Memorial.  It will be the first time we’ve partnered with him.  He always has a successful team, so we’re excited.”
