Chris Walraven (1st car out to time) set the standard in time trials at 15.341 seconds. Calvin Landis (11th car out) was second quick, followed by Skip Jackson (24th), Dusty Zomer (3rd), Jesse Giannetto (13th), Billy Alley (22nd), Rager Phillips (18th), Bronson Maeschen (28th), Larry Ball Jr. (10th) and Chad Meyer (23rd).  Tyler Houseman, Brent Antill and Gordy Vogelaar all failed to get a time in and all scratched for the night.

Heat one (started): 1. Matt Moro 47 (1) 2. Jerrel Slinkard 15s (2) 3. Walraven 56 (6) 4. Phillips 9 (4) 5. Kaley Gharst 44G (7) 6. Zomer 1z (5) / 7. Meyer 1w (3) 8. Robert Bell 71 (9) 9. Mike Moore 69 (8) DNS - Vogelaar 1A

Moro led the duration in the eight lapper.  The only real move came on a restart after a Moore caution on lap two.  Gharst, running 7th and out of a transfer at the time, shot around Meyer and Zomer into fifth.

Heat two (started): 1. Ryan Anderson 71R (1) 2. Brian Brown 21 (3) 3. Wayne Johnson 10 (2) 4. Tim St. Arnold 7w (7) 5. Maeschen 96 (4) 6. Landis 70 (6) / 7. Giannetto D1 (5) 8. Tony Shilling 47T (8) 9. Chris Maurer 7N (9) DNS - Houseman 50

Anderson led flag to flag.  Giannetto spun before a lap could be completed, but couldn't recover to catch Landis, the final transfer.

Heat three (started): 1. Kerry Madsen 55 (1) 2. Lynton Jeffrey 12 (2) 3. Jackson 2 (6) 4. Larry Ball Jr. 5J (4) 5. Alley 17G (3) 6. Clint Garner 40 (5) / 7. Trevor Green (7) 8. Greg Jones 3J (8) DNS - Antill 1

Green had to come to the work area before the green could be thrown, surrendering his pole position start.  Madsen inherited the spot and led flag to flag in a mostly single-file affair.

B main (started): 1. Meyer (2) 2. Giannetto (1) / 3. Green (3) 4. Moore (4) 5. Jones (6) 6. Shilling (5) 7. Bell (7) 8. Maurer (8) DNS - Antill, Vogelaar, Houseman

Meyer and Giannetto paced the non-stop 10 lapper to take the transfers.  Green and Moore supplied some side by side racing action throughout, with Green wrestling the third spot away running the low side of the track.

A main (started): 1. Alley (2) 2. Jackson (4) 3. Madsen (10) 4. Brown (9) 5. Jeffrey (13) 6. Moro (14) 7. Giannetto (20) 8. Garner (18) 9. Maeschen (7) 10. Gharst (16) 11. St. Arnold (17) 12. Anderson (15) 13. Slinkard (11) 14. Meyer (19) 15. Walraven (6) 16. Zomer (3) 17. Phillips (1) 18. Landis (5) 19. Johnson (12) 20. Ball (8)

Alley used the high side to jump out to an early lead with Jackson soon trailing on the bottom on a three-groove surface.  On lap 3 of 20, Ball came to a stop and exited with mechanical ills.  Alley led Jackson, Phillips, Zomer and Landis back to green flag racing.  Four laps later, a caution came out for debris in turn three.  The yellow was unfortunate for Landis and Johnson as both got upside down hard in turn one on the restart, ending their nights, albeit uninjured.  Now Alley led Jackson, rookies Phillips and Zomer, and a surging Madsen and Brown, both from row five.  Two circuits later, Phillips was running fourth when he lost control above the cushion, shot down the track and contacted Zomer.  Phillips flipped hard in turn two, while Zomer sustained enough damage in the right rear to exit and surrender his sixth running position.  The final slowdown came on lap 12, when Walraven lost his right rear tire, which bounded into turn two.  Alley led Jackson, Madsen, Brown and Jeffrey with eight to go and that's the way they would finish.  The win was Ed and Teresa Gifford's first at Knoxville and the second career 410 win for Alley.  Giannetto earned an extra $300 for being the hard-charger.

360 Results

Heat one (started, *qualified for feature): 1. Jake Peters 57x (2*) 2. Stacey Alexander 2Tx (6*) 3. Alan Zoutte 33 (1*) 4. Brett Mather 54 (9*) 5. Brett Golik 5G (3) 6. Tyler Thompson 2T (4) 7. Jerry Crabb 12x (8) DNS - Davey Heskin 56 (5), David Langford 32L (7)

Peters led the seven lapper from beginning to end with S. Alexander moving into second.  Crabb exited on lap three.  Mather and Golik put on the best race of the night for what would prove to be fourth.  Thompson was running a solid third before bad luck hit him again as he coasted to a stop in turn three on the white flag lap, surrendering what would have been an A main transfer.

Heat two (started, *qualified for feature): 1. Jon Corbin 15 (1*) 2. David Hall 51 (2*) 3. Josh Schneiderman 49 (4*) 4. Mitchell Alexander 6 (3*) 5. Dustin Lindquist 55L (8*) 6. John Schulz 2 (5) 7. Nate Mosher 22N (6) 8. Tim Newman 18 (7)

Corbin led a mostly single-file affair flag to flag.  Lindquist was able to work around Schulz late for what would prove to be enough passing points to make the A.

Heat three (started, *qualified for feature): 1. Joe Beaver 53 (6*) 2. Eric Mason B29 (4*) 3. Pete Crall 11 (3*) 4. Johnny Anderson 7a (5*) 5. Tom Lenz 8L (7) 6. Terry Alexander 77 (1) DNS - Troy Meyer 11m (2), Stevie Walsh 00 (8)

Mason grabbed the early advantage.  On lap three, T. Alexander hit the wall and got upside down in turn four, after something in the steering appeared to have broken.  Mason led Beaver, Crall, Anderson and Lenz back to green.  Beaver would make his winning pass with two to go, utilizing the low side.  A puff of smoke in hot laps ended Meyer's night.

Heat four (started, *qualified for feature): 1. Josh Higday 24 (2*) 2. John Kearney 83 (8*) 3. Jeff Mitrisin 10 (5*) 4. Mike Houseman Jr. Y5 (3) 5. Nate Van Haaften 3 (1) 6. Frankie Heimbaugh 04 (6) 7. Dustin Selvage 7 (7) 8. Danny Heskin 84 (4)

Higday bounced back from a hard crash a week ago to dominate this one.  Kearney showed he had what it took on the high groove looping all but Higday on the first lap for high passing point honors in the heats.

B main (started): 1. Lenz (2) 2. Schulz (6) 3. Houseman Jr. (1) 4. Golik (3) / 5. Mosher (10) 6. Heimbaugh (8) 7. Thompson (5) 8. Van Haaften (4) 9. Newman (12) 10. Selvage (7) 11. Danny Heskin (9) 12. Walsh (13) 13. Davey Heskin (11) DNS - T. Alexander, Crabb, Langford, Meyer

Lenz led the 10 lapper throughout.  ONe caution slowed the event a Walsh stoppage on lap six.  Lenz led Houseman Jr., Van Haaften, Schulz and Golik.  Schulz and Golik had been battling for the fourth and final transfer, but Schulz kicked something in gear after the restart, shooting under Van Haaften and then Houseman Jr. to grab runner-up honors.  Golik was able to follow suit to make his first feature of 2006.  Davey Heskin exited after a lap.

A main (started): 1. Corbin (1) 2. Higday (2) 3. Beaver (5) 4. Peters (3) 5. Kearney (6) 6. S. Alexander (4) 7. Mitrisin (9) 8. Lindquist (14) 9. Schneiderman (10) 10. Hall (7) 11. Crall (12) 12. Mather (13) 13. Anderson (15) 14. Schulz (18) 15. Mason (8) 16. Houseman Jr. (19) 17. Zoutte (11) 18. M. Alexander (16) 19. Golik (20) 20. Lenz (17)

Higday shot out to a sizeable lead at the outset of the 15 lapper.  He seemed to have things in hand when Houseman Jr. spun on lap five, collecting M. Alexander.  Higday made the move of the night, splitting the two spun cars above the cushion, narrowly avoiding disaster.  Both spinners would restart.  Corbin kept pace with Higday on the restart, and on lap seven, tried a successful slider in turns one and two.  Higday attempted the same in three and four as the two went at it.  Corbin was able to keep his line on the cushion and pull away for his first career Knoxville tally.  Early to the showers were Lenz and Golik.  Lindquist earned an extra $100 for hard-charger honors.
