Two sets of qualifying were run.  Matt Juhl (12th car out to time) set quick time at 10.820 seconds for the first group.  Jason Sides (4th car out) was second quick, followed by Jason Johnson (10th), Rico Abreu (19th), David Gravel (20th), Dusty Zomer (5th), Logan Schuchart (15th), Shane Stewart (13th), Paul McMahan (8th) and Greg Wilson (6th).

In the second group, Daryn Pittman (15th car out) set the standard at 10.854 seconds, ahead of Kerry Madsen (18th), Brad Sweet (1st), Joey Saldana (20th), Justin Henderson (5th), Ian Madsen (6th), Jacob Allen (10th), Austin McCarl (9th), Jordan Adams (8th) and Paul Nienhiser (17th).  The track stayed pretty heavy and built a good cushion.

Heat one (started): 1. J. Johnson 41 (2) 2. Schuchart 1s (4) 3. Gravel 5 (3) 4. McMahan 7 (5) 5. Juhl 09 (1) / 6. Paige Polyak 19 (9) 7. Terry McCarl 24 (8) 8. Jody Rosenboom 14 (7) 9. Cory Mack 25 (6) 10. Clyde Knipp 13 (10)

Sweet led the 10-lapper early over Juhl and Schuchart.  T. McCarl moved up to fifth, taking the last feature transfer spot from McMahan on the second lap.  The lead five stayed the same until Knipp made contact with the infield wall and came to a stop with six laps in the books.  The double-file restart saw J. Johnson choose the outside line, ahead of Juhl, Schuchart, Gravel, T. McCarl and McMahan.  It was a disaster for Juhl, who made heavy contact with the turn two wall and faded to fifth, relinquishing his Dash spot (top two).  T. McCarl also had a rough restart, losing two spots.  Meanwhile, Schuchart moved up into the second Dash spot, and McMahan gained two spots, up to fourth.

Heat two (started): 1. Abreu 24R (2) 2. Sides 7s (1) 3. Stewart 2 (4) 4. Zomer 82 (3) 5. Donny Schatz 15 (8) / 6. Wilson w20 (5) 7. Mark Dobmeier 13JT (6) 8. Dave Glennon 5G (7) 9. Chuck McGillivray 101 (9) 10. Jared Goerges 9z (10)

Abreu led Sides, Stewart, Zomer and Wilson most of the way.  Schatz battled his way forward though, grabbing the final transfer from Wilson with three laps to go.

Heat three (started): 1. Pittman 9 (1) 2. Sweet 49 (2) 3. Allen 1a (4) 4. Ryan Bickett 17B (8) 5. Wade Nygaard 9N (7) / 6. Robby Wolfgang 429 (9) 7. Adams 20A (5) 8. Henderson 1 (3) 9. Kevin Ingle 2K (10) 10. Dylan Peterson 25x (6)

In turn two after the green fell, Peterson contacted Adams left front with his right rear and tipped over.  Adams would restart at the tail, sans nose wing.  Wolfgang was caught up in the fray, and had to straighten his top wing.  Once green, Pittman led Sweet the distance.  Henderson settled into third, but lost power and exited at the halfway point.  Nygaard benefited with the last transfer spot.

Heat four (started): 1. K. Madsen 29 (1) 2. Saldana 83 (2) 3. A. McCarl 17A (4) 4. I. Madsen 18 (3) 5. Nienhiser 9x (5) / 6. Casey Mack 8 (7) 7. Jack Croaker 8Ball (9) 8. Joe Riedel 15x (8) 9. Tim Kaeding 3 (6) 10. Doug Martens 51 (10)

K. Madsen led the distance.  Two laps in, Martens stopped with a flat right rear.  Kaeding, who had challenged Nienhiser for the last transfer, also went pitside.  K. Madsen restarted on the inside and led the rest of the way.  I. Madsen got a challenge from Nienhiser for fourth, and the latter came up just short at the line.

C main (started): 1. Polyak (1) 2. Wolfgang (2) / 3. McGillivray (3) 4. Croaker (4) 5. Goerges (5) 6. Ingle (6) 7. Martens (7) DNS – Knipp

Croaker lost a right rear wheel in turn one when the race went green.  He made repairs and rejoined the field at the tail.  Polyak led flag to flag in a mostly single-file 8-lapper that took the top two to the back of the B.

Dash (started): 1. Sweet (1) 2. Schuchart (2) 3. K. Madsen (3) 4. Abreu (4) 5. Pittman (5) 6. J. Johnson (6) 7. Saldana (8) 8. Sides (7)

With the track reworked at intermission, it remained fast.  Schuchart looked to have a better car than Sweet, but ran out of room exiting the turns to pass him.  Not much passing in this 8-lapper that determined the starting spots in the first four rows.

B main (started): 1. Wilson (1) 2. Dobmeier (5) 3. Henderson (2) 4. Kaeding (8) / 5. Co. Mack (3) 6. Peterson (6) 7. T. McCarl (11) 8. Polyak (13) 9. Rosenboom (7) 10. Wolfgang (14) 11. Glennon (9) 12. Adams (4) 13. Riedel (12) 14. Ca. Mack (10)

Wilson led the distance in the 12-lapper.  Dobmeier quickly moved into the fourth and final transfer, and took third from Co. Mack on lap two.  He continued on the bottom side, reeling in Henderson.  Kaeding also worked by Co. Mack, grabbing the fourth and final transfer on lap four.  Dobmeier passed Henderson in turn four coming to the checkers for second.

A main (started): 1. Sweet (1) 2. Saldana (8) 3. Gravel (9) 4. Stewart (11) 5. McMahan (13) 6. Sides (7) 7. Schatz (19) 8. I. Madsen (16) 9. Allen (10) 10. Dobmeier (22) 11. Nienhiser (20) 12. Pittman (5) 13. Kaeding (24) 14. T. McCarl (25, prov.) 15. K. Madsen (3) 16. A. McCarl (12) 17. Juhl (17) 18. Bickett (14) 19. Wilson (21) 20. J. Johnson (6) 21. Nygaard (18) 22. Schuchart (2) 23. Abreu (4) 24. Zomer (15) 25. Henderson (23)

Sweet led the 40-lapper early over K. Madsen, Schuchart and Abreu.  Abreu worked by Schuchart, and then took second from K. Madsen on lap nine.  A lap later, he roared by Sweet for the lead and began pulling away in traffic.  On lap twelve, he hooked the turn four infield berm and flipped, ending his night.  He was uninjured.  Sweet inherited the lead again taking the inside on the double-file restart, ahead of K. Madsen, Schuchart, Saldana, J. Johnson and Gravel.  Zomer’s car would not fire and he retired.  Saldana shot from outside row two to second.  Schuchart was running fourth on lap 15 when he went up in smoke and was done.  In the meantime, K. Madsen went to the work area to remove mud from his right rear.  He would surrender second and go to the tail.  With 25 laps left, Sweet led Saldana, J. Johnson, Gravel, Sides and Stewart.  Sweet pulled away again.  J. Johnson was working well on the cushion, and on lap 30, he shot by Saldana.  Six laps later, his right rear tire blew going into turn one and he drove straight into the wall.  He was communicating with recuse personnel, but was taken to the hospital.  Sweet pulled away in the four lap Dash ahead of Saldana, Gravel, Stewart and McMahan, who grabbed his first top five of the year.  Schatz, who timed in poorly, and Dobmeier moved up twelve spots each.
