(Bill W) May 16, 2018, Monroe, IA – Brooke Tatnell has taken the lead in the Midwest Thunder Sprint Cars presented by Open Wheel 101 point standings heading into a busy weekend (if Mother Nature allows).  Events await at Jackson Motorplex in Minnesota Friday, Knoxville Raceway in Iowa Saturday, and Sunday, when the IRA and All Stars meet at Angell Park Speedway in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin.

Last Saturday night, Brian Brown became a repeat winner with the series and as he topped the Knoxville Raceway field for the second straight week.  Tatnell, who leads in points at Knoxville Raceway, also leads the current Midwest Thunder Sprint Cars standings over Austin McCarl, Davey Heskin, Brian Brown and Terry McCarl.  Justin Henderson, Matt Juhl, Tony Stewart, Josh Schneiderman and Rager Phillips round out the top ten.

So far, there have been four winners in the six races contested with the Midwest Thunder Sprint Cars presented by Open Wheel 101!
