(Bill W) May 22, 2018, Monroe, IA – Cory Eliason put himself in the winners’ column with the Midwest Thunder Sprint Cars presented by Open Wheel 101 last Friday night with his $5,000 score at the Great Lakes Shootout at Minnesota’s Jackson Motorplex.  Brian Brown made it three wins in a row Saturday night at Knoxville Raceway.  Brian also finished second on Friday at Jackson, putting him a slim three points ahead of Austin McCarl in the point standings.

The All Star/IRA showdown at Angell Park Speedway in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin scheduled for Sunday was postponed until July’s now four-race All Star Midwestern swing that will now include Angell Park, Jackson, Knoxville and 34 Raceway in West Burlington, Iowa.

This weekend, point eligible races include Knoxville Raceway in Iowa on Saturday and the MOWA event Sunday night at Jacksonville Speedway in Illinois!

Brown leads the current top ten in the standings ahead of Austin McCarl, Brooke Tatnell, Davey Heskin, Justin Henderson, Matt Juhl, Kerry Madsen, Terry McCarl, Cory Eliason and Josh Schneiderman.

So far, there have been five winners in the eight races contested with the Midwest Thunder Sprint Cars presented by Open Wheel 101!
