Scott Young (6th car out to time) set the standard in time trials at 11.053 seconds on the banked 3/8 mile. Travis Whitney (15th car out) was second quick, followed by Brett Geldner (1st), Chad Blonde (8th), Justin Henderson (28th), Wayne Johnson (3rd), Scott Neitzel (24th), Tim St. Arnold (25th), Tim Sernett (16th) and Mark Dobmeier (10th).

Heat one (started): 1. Mark Kertscher 80K (2) 2. Henderson D11 (5) 3. Young 3 (6) 4. Chris Shirek 1 (3) / 5. Mark Toews 5T (7) 6. Joe Symoens 96 (9) 7. Todd King 97 (8) 8. Tony Kaus 3K (11) 9. T. Sernett 91T (4) 10. Scott Biertzer 4B (1) 11. Scott Winters R19 (10)

When the green fell Winters made contact with someone, spun and broke his front end. Kertscher led the 10 lapper early once under green. Henderson surged to second before a lap four caution for a stopped Biertzer who was running third. His night would be done. T. Sernett exited on lap nine. Kertscher went on to hold off Henderson.

Heat two (started): 1. Dobmeier 13 (4) 2. W. Johnson 14AJ (5) 3. Lynton Jeffrey 7x (1) 4. Whitney 9 (6) / 5. Kim Mock 1m (7) 6. Andy Hunt 9A (3) 7. Jason Johnson 44 (9) 8. Ryan Irwin 49 (10) 9. Jeff Vonusek 12 (11) 10. Steve Meyer 85m (2) 11. Scott Uttech 7 (8)

S. Uttech exited early. Jeffrey took the early lead, but Dobmeier was too much to handle and took the point for good on lap three. On lap four, Meyer hit a large rut that had developed in turn one, broke and wheel and flipped hard while running fifth. He was uninjured, but done for the night. The restart saw Dobmeier leading Jeffrey, Whitney, Johnson and Mock. When Jeffrey stumbled when the green fell, Johnson took advantage looping both he and Whitney and taking over second. Mock made a brief challenge for the final transfer, but came up short.

Heat three (started): 1. Gregg Bakker 1H (2) 2. Billy Balog 4 (1) 3. Mike Reinke 02 (3) 4. Neitzel 2w (5) / 5. Geldner 91 (6) 6. Ty Bartz 75 (10) 7. Wayne Modjeski 77 (4) 8. Jerry Richert Jr. 55 (7) 9. Chris Burke 81 (8) 10. Mike Stefka 35s (9) 11. Duane Olson 16 (11)

Bakker led flag to flag in his second race with the 1H team. Olson spun to the infield on lap five. A lap later, Modjeski spun while running fifth, collecting Richert and Burke who both retired. Reinke and Neitzel put on the best battle for position with Reinke holding onto third. Geldner was subbing for John Sernett, who is still ailing from a broken wrist.

Heat four (started): 1. Joe Roe 61 (2) 2. KJ Skelton 80 (1) 3. Randy Anderson 17G (4) 4. Dave Uttech 68 (3) / 5. Roger Rager 6R (7) 6. Blonde 5B (6) 7. Bill Warren 95 (8) 8. Bill Wirth 53w (9) 9. Nick Shirek N1 (10) 10. St. Arnold 7w (5)

Roe led the distance and won after a spirited battle with Skelton. Rager surged into a transfer, but lost it to a determined D. Uttech late. St. Arnold exited on lap eight after dumping fluid.

Geldner spanked everyone winning by ? of a lap. Winters made a late bid for the final transfer with his 360 powered machine.

B main two (started): 1. Blonde (1) 2. Toews (4) 3. Hunt (3) / 4. Wirth (9) 5. J. Johnson (8) 6. N. Shirek (11) 7. Vonusek (12) 8. Rager (5) 9. Irwin (10) 10. S. Uttech (6) 11. T. Sernett (2) 12. Warren (7) DNS Biertzer

Toews led early, but Blonde hunted him down on lap four after being sent to row two by the flagman for jumping. Warrens race ended when the green fell as he made contact and broke his frontend. Rager was running a strong third, but exited on lap eight, handing the final transfer in the 12 lapper to Hunt.

A main (started): 1. Henderson (4) 2. Bakker (8) 3. Neitzel (2) 4. Young (6) 5. Whitney (5) 6. Kertscher (9) 7. Roe (7) 8. Geldner (11) 9. Mock (22) 10. C. Shirek (14) 11. Balog (19) 12. Richert (23) 13. D. Uttech (17) 14. Hunt (15) 15. Dobmeier (1) 16. Reinke (16) 17. W. Johnson (3) 18. Toews (21) 19. Blonde (12) 20. Modjeski (13) 21. Jeffrey (18) 22. Anderson (10) 23. Skelton (20)

Dobmeier led the first three laps of the 25 lapper, before Skelton flipped hard in turn three, collecting Anderson. Both were done. Dobmeier led Neitzel, Henderson, W. Johnson and Young back to green. Henderson shot under Neitzel for second before another flip occurred on lap six. Jeffrey was the victim this time in an easy roll-over. Bakker had now moved into the top five and was looking strong. Henderson pulled up on the leader and took the point on lap ten. W. Johnson slipped back to sixth before surging into second on lap 15. Four laps later he would get by Henderson and hold it until a lap 23 caution for a stopped C. Shirek. W. Johnson now led Henderson, a surging Bakker, Dobmeier and Neitzel, who was trying to hold off Young. Henderson slid under W. Johnson and two waged war for the lead, exchanging sliders. Blonde stopped on lap 26 while running ninth. Henderson was leading with W. Johnson in tow. W. Johnson would see his motor expire two laps later, ending his night. Bakker assumed second, but had nothing for the strong Henderson.
