Chad Kemenah (3rd car out to time) scored quick time of the night at 12.075 seconds over the quickly drying 1/3 mile oval. Jac Haudenschild (1st car out) was second quick, followed by Kenny Jacobs (17th), Danny Smith (7th), Craig Dollansky (8th), Brock Mayes (29th), Stevie Smith (2nd), Brooke Tatnell (23rd), Daryn Pittman (4th) and Rob Chaney (13th). Several drivers got over the top of turn one as the cushion was non-existent. No one got upside down, but several slid over the berm. Turns three and four developed a nice cushion, with drivers taking full advantage and hammering the right rear on it, sending clay skyward. Only three out of the top ten qualifiers and eight out of the top 20 were WoO regulars. Mike Hogan flipped in hot laps and was done for the night. Tim Hunter couldnt get his motor running and never spun a lap. Shane Helms only got one lap in after getting over turn one and stalling.

Heat one (started): 1. John Ivy 5i (2) 2. Paul McMahan 11H (3) 3. Jason Dukes 3D (1) 4. Tatnell 8 (5) 5. Steve Kinser 11 (9) / 6. Kemenah 15K (6) 7. Pittman 21 (4) 8. Tim Kaeding 83 (8) 9. Jason Sides 7s (11) 10. Kraig Kinser 11K (7) 11. Jon Finsel F1 (10) DNS Andrew Palker K

How often do you see S. Kinser, K. Kinser and Kaeding all miss the heat inverts. S. Kinser worked his butt off getting by his son, Pittman and Kemenah with a pair of masterful turn one sliders. Ivy led the distance up front, while Dukes and Tatnell waged war for third. Awesome heat race action!

Heat two (started): 1. Shane Stewart 26 (2) 2. Chaney 9x (4) 3. Brandon Wimmer 7TW (1) 4. Haudenschild 83JR (6) 5. S. Smith 19 (5) / 6. Danny Lasoski 20 (3) 7. Jason Meyers 14 (7) 8. Lee Jacobs 16 (8) 9. Brandon Martin 11m (9) 10. Mike Linder 3 (11) 11. Bruce Robenalt 98 (12) 12. Todd Kane 70 (10)

Stewart led flag to flag up front, but there was plenty of action behind him. Robenalt spun on lap four of ten, bringing out the caution flag. Stewart led Wimmer, Chaney, Lasoski, Haudenschild, Smith and Meyers. On the restart, Chaney got by Wimmer, Haud quickly disposed of Lasoski, setting up a move that would seal a great night for S. Smith. On the final circuit he cut low in turn four, to execute a slider on Lasoski, grabbing the final transfer and assuring him a spot in the dash.

Heat three (started): 1. Joey Saldana 2 (1) 2. Terry McCarl 24 (2) 3. Greg Wilson 22 (3) 4. Jeff Shepard 9 (4) 5. K. Jacobs 2H (6) / 6. Mayes 11B (5) 7. Jason Solwold R19 (8) 8. Byron Reed 5 (7) 9. Tim Shaffer 6 (9) 10. Shane Helms 47 (11) 11. Aaron Middaugh 91 (10) DNS Tim Hunter

Saldana slid McCarl to lead lap one, and broke away in the most single-file contest the night would see.

Heat four (started): 1. Donny Schatz 15 (2) 2. Dean Jacobs 29 (4) 3. D. Smith 4 (6) 4. Dollansky 7 (5) 5. Randy Hannagan 1x (9) / 6. Brian Paulus 28 (8) 7. Jamie Martin 15m (1) 8. Dale Blaney 2x (7) 9. Doug Stanley 18s (10) 10. Mark Keegan X (3) DNS Craig Mintz 8s, Mike Hogan 75

Schatz led the distance in this eventful heat. On lap two, J. Martin was running third when he collided with Keegan. Keegans broken front end ended his night. Schatz led D. Jacobs, J. Martin, D. Smith and Dollansky on the restart. Four laps later, Paulus was running sixth when got over the turn two berm, bringing out another yellow. Now Schatz led D. Jacobs, D. Smith, Dollansky and a charging Blaney, who had moved into the final transfer. It was short-lived for Blaney as he spun out of the transfer spot on the restart. That handed the final A main spot to a steady Hannagan.

C main (started): 1. Shaffer (2) 2. Palker (3) 3. Linder (7) / 4. Sides (6) 5. Finsel (10) 6. Robenalt (11) 7. Stanley (9) 8. Middaugh (5) 9. Helms (8) 10. B. Martin (1) 11. Kane (4) DNS Hunter, Hogan

Shaffer led early. Kane came to a stop on lap two to bring a yellow. Shaffer led B. Martin, Palker, Sides and Linder back to green flag racing. B. Martin took the lead on the restart in the 10 lapper, but dropped out two circuits later. Linder smelled blood and schooled Sides on how to get around Attica to grab the final transfer with two to go.

Dash One (started): 1. S. Smith (2) 2. Haudenschild (4) 3. D. Smith (3) 4. Chaney (1) 5. D. Jacobs (5) 6. McMahan (6)

Chaney put a wicked slider on S. Smith to lead early, but S. Smith came right back and returned the favor to lead the rest of the six lapper. Haudenschild and D. Smith did well to get by Chaney in an entertaining dash.

Dash Two (started): 1. Shepard (1) 2. Tatnell (2) 3. Dollansky (3) 4. Ivy (6) 5. Wilson (5) 6. K. Jacobs (4)

Shepard led throughout. Wilson stopped at the halfway point after jumping the turn one cushion. The restart saw Shepard leading over Tatnell, Dollansky, K. Jacobs and Ivy. Ivy used the last lap to move by K. Jacobs for fourth, and Wilson followed him by.

B main (started): 1. Kemenah (1) 2. Pittman (3) 3. K. Kinser (7) 4. Mayes (2) / 5. Meyers (6) 6. Lasoski (5) 7. Blaney (8) 8. Paulus (12) 9. Linder (16) 10. Solwold (13) 11. L. Jacobs (10) 12. Reed (9) 13. Shaffer (14) 14. Palker (15) 15. J. Martin (4) 16. Kaeding (11) DNS Keegan

Kemenah led flag to flag. L. Jacobs had moved up from 10th to challenge for a top five spot when he spun on lap four. The restart saw Kemenah leading Pittman, Mayes, K. Kinser and Meyers. Two laps later, J. Martin got over the cushion in turn four and came down on Kaeding, breaking his front end and also collecting Reed. J. Martin and Kaeding would retire for the night. Now Kemenah led Pittman, K. Kinser, who had gotten around Mayes, who was feeling heat from Meyers and Lasoski for the final transfer. Mayes did a nice job to hold on for the final six laps, while Lasoski and Meyers exchanged nasty sliders. Both would need provisionals to compete in the A main.

A main (started): 1. S. Smith (1) 2. Tatnell (4) 3. Dollansky (6) 4. Haudenschild (3) 5. Wilson (10) 6. K. Jacobs (12) 7. Ivy (8) 8. Schatz (18) 9. D. Smith (5) 10. Hannagan (24) 11. McCarl (17) 12. Shepard (2) 13. Chaney (7) 14. Kemenah (13) 15. Pittman (15) 16. McMahan (11) 17. Lasoski (27, pr.) 18. K. Kinser (22) 19. Meyers (25, pr.) 20. S. Kinser (23) 21. Mayes (14) 22. Saldana (19) 23. Dukes (21) 24. Kane (28, pr.) 25. D. Jacobs (9) 26. Stewart (16) 27. Wimmer (20) 28. Reed (26, pr.)

The initial try at a green flag start resulted in a Stewart spin. Wimmer and Reed were collected in the incident and the three were done for the night. Once underway, the 40 lapper went non-stop. Shepard grabbed the early lead with Tatnell and S. Smith in tow. The trio battled through traffic. S. Smith took the advantage on lap 20 and began pulling away as a war was waged behind him. Tatnell fought off the challenges of Haudenschild, and then Wilson made a charge, sticking his nose beside Tatnell at one point. Haudenschild entered the battle with Wilson and the trio used all parts of the dry-slick surface to move up. Dollansky entered the fray as well and was able to grab third and make a brief run at Tatnell. S. Smith lapped S. Kinser before taking the checkered flag, leaving 19 on the lead lap. Hannagan, who benefited from the lap one incident and McCarl did well in charging through the field. A season low three WoO regulars registered finishes in the top ten.
