Justin Henderson came out first and set the quick lap with a time of 15.288. Wayne Johnson (10th), Don Droud Jr (4th), Billy Alley (2nd), Kerry Madsen (3rd), Calvin Landis (15th), Skip Jackson (16th), Brian Brown (31st), Matt Moro (8th), and Jesse Giannetto (33rd) completed the top ten. Eric Vanderploeg did not get a scheduled lap in but took a slow lap at the end with an ailing motor.

Heat 1) (started) 1. 5m Jamie Moyle (3) 2. 55 Kerry Madsen (5) 3. D11 Justin Henderson (6) 4. 47 Matt Moro (4) 5. 40 Clint Garner (2) / 6. 71R Ryan Anderson (8) 7. 6 Bill Rose (7) 8. 15s Jerrel Slinkard (1) 9. 1a Michael Jones (9) 10. 7x Eric VanderPloeg (10)

You had to be in the top 5 in the 410 heats or be sent to the B (in the 360 class, top 20 in passing points), which only set the order for first alternates to get into feature #2. All drivers were aware of this, and drove their tails off in by far the best heats of the year in both classes.

Jones and Vanderploeg tangled in turn one at the start with VanderPloeg going upside down hard. Both were uninjured but done. Moyle set the pace with Slinkard running strong right behind. With a couple laps in though, Slinkard went low in turn three, hopped on the berm, lost his top wing (a bolt must've been loose!?), and spun up towards the fence. Rose narrowly missed drilling him. Madsen & Henderson put on a slidejob show for 2nd but couldn't catch Moyle.

Heat 2) 1. D1 Jesse Giannetto (4) 2. 02 Mike Reinke (1) 3. 70 Calvin Landis (5) 4. 14AJ Wayne Johnson (6) 5. 56 Chris Walraven (3) / 6. 44G Khaley Gharst (7) 7. 9x Rich Bubak (8) 8. 1Z Jamie Zaputil (2) 9. F5 Ian Madsen (9)

Reinke led the distance until Giannetto, running strong glued to the bottom, got by him in 1 & 2 on the last lap. Walraven & Johnson waged battle throughout the 8-lapper, as did Giannetto and Landis.

Heat 3) 1. 7w Tim St. Arnold (2) 2. 10 Ricky Logan (4) 3. 2 Skip Jackson (5) 4. 4 Jon Agan (1) 5. 17G Don Droud Jr (6) / 6. 4AU Lynton Jeffrey (7) 7. 69 Mike Moore (8) 8. 19 Bob Weuve (3) 9. 1B Brent Antill (9)

St Arnold and the rest of the field found the high side to their liking and it was mostly a freight train flying around the cushion.

Heat 4) 1. 1x Randy Hannagan (3) 2. 21 Brian Brown (5) 3. 60 Colin Northway (1) 4. 81 Randy Anderson (2) 5. Billy Alley (6) / 6. 1w Chad Meyer (8) 7. 35 Greg Jones (7) 8. 50 Tyler Houseman (9) 9. 10c Jeremy Campbell (4)

Hannagan got a great start and burst into the lead. Brown was real fast behind him but not catch up. Campbell had battled with Alley and was running 6th when he pulled in with one to go.

B-Main) 1. Campbell (1) 2. Ry. Anderson (9) 3. Moore (11) 4. Weuve (2) 5. Bubak (10) 6. Gharst (6) 7. I. Madsen (14) 8. T. Houseman (16) 9. Jeffrey (7) 10. G. Jones (8) 11. Zapitul (3) DNS: Slinkard, Rose, Meyer, M. Jones, Antill, and VanderPloeg

Zapitul hooked the berm in turn one at the outset and washed up the track collecting Madsen, Jones, and Houseman. Zapitul flipped, but emerged unhurt. Campbell destroyed the field, but Anderson and Moore had an entertaining battle for 2nd.

A-Main #1) 1. Madsen (3) 2. Alley (4) 3. Johnson (2) 4. Henderson (1) 5. Brown (8) 6. Jackson (5) 7. Logan (9) 8. Giannetto (10) 9. Landis (6) 10. Moro (7) 11. Reinke (18) 12. Hannagan (14) 13. Garner (13) 14. Campbell (19) 15. Ra. Anderson (15) 16. St. Arnold (16) 17. Moyle (12) 18. Northway (20) 19. Walraven (11) 20. Agan (17)

Started straight up from qualifying (among those that transferred through the heats), this was a great one, with Madsen and Henderson again waging a war of sliders in the first five laps. Madsen won the battle and set sail. Johnson had slipped back, but was racing back hard with Alley and Henderson for 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. Alley finally got by Henderson for 2nd and set his sights on Madsen. Madsen was getting momentarily caught in lapped traffic, and Alley closed. Hellacious sliders were being traded by the leaders to get by the lapped cars. With two to go, St. Arnold spun in turn two. Madsen was too tough and took the popular victory. Brown had entered the fray and was 4th until he got out of shape coming for the checkered, allowing Henderson to notch the spot. Droud was a scratch after his heat, and Campbell got the lucky break to start. Reinke was the hard-charger.

A-Main #2) 1. Logan (14) 2. Campbell (7) 3. Brown (16) 4. Madsen (20) 5. Garner (8) 6. Jackson (15) 7. Hannagan (9) 8. St. Arnold (5) 9. Moro (11) 10. Johnson (18) 11. Henderson (17) 12. Walraven (2) 13. Northway (3) 14. Agan (1) 15. Moyle (4) 16. Landis (12) 17. Ra. Anderson (6) 18. Alley (19) 19. Reinke (10) 20. Giannetto (13)

This one had a tough time getting going. Reinke flipped hard at the bottom of turn one after tangling with Hannagan, Giannetto, and Jackson. All but Reinke & Giannetto made repairs to restart, no injuries. The next go saw Alley flip almost in the same spot, equally if not harder. Landis was also involved. Landis would get back going, but spin and tip over in turn two on the 3rd lap. Campbell was leading Logan, Northway, Brown, and Garner at that point. Some 140 laps of green flag heat & feature racing had taken its toll on the damn near perfect surface all night long, and streaks of rubber were being laid. Logan (of course) was one of the first to find it and reeled in Campbell. With three to go, he made the pass stick in the rubber. Brown, Madsen, and Jackson had great charges that were aided with the attrition, but were still great charges. Madsen was the hard-charger.

360s

Heat 1) (started, * qualified for feature) 1. 7a Johnny Anderson (1*) 2. 24 Josh Higday (8*) 3. 5h Bobby Hawks (3*) 4. 22N Nate Mosher (5*) 5. 20 Stevie Walsh (6*) 6. 10 Jeff Mitrisin (10) 7. 9 Rager Phillips (4) 8. 15 Bobby Mincer (2) 9. 57T Dan Thornburg (7)

Anderson was not touched, but Higday put on an awesome drive to get to 2nd.

Heat 2) 1. 12x Jerry Crabb (1*) 2. 23 Eric Jobe (5*) 3. 2 John Schulz (7*) 4. 5J Larry Ball Jr (9*) 5. 14 Randy Martin (10*) 6. 51 Dave Hall (4) 7. Y2 Mike Houseman (SR) (2) 8. 33 Alan Zoutte (3) 9. 56 Davey Heskin (6) 10. Y5 Mike Houseman Jr (8)

Crabb led the distance but not without a serious charge from Jobe on the bottom at the end of the 7-lapper. Crabb nicked him at the line by a few inches in a photo finish. Both 5th row starters had great runs to get into transfers and Schulz's work ahead of them was stellar as well.

Heat 3) 1. 57x Jake Peters (2*) 2. 8L Tom Lenz (4*) 3. 04 Frankie Heimbaugh (5*) 4. 53 Joey Beaver (6*) 5. 126 Stacy Alexander (9*) 6. 54 Brett Mather (8) 7. 5G Brett Golik (3) 8. 7 Dustin Selvage (1) 9. 22 Rob Edwards (7) 10. 5m Gary Moyer (10)

Peters got the lead and was gone. Good racing for 2nd, 3rd, and 4th, with the veteran Lenz winning out.

Heat 4) 1. 83B John Kearney (2*) 2. 6 Mitchell Alexander (9*) 3. B29 Eric Mason (1*) 4. 7H John Hall (4*) 5. 1Z Dusty Zomer (8*) 6. 48 Jarrod Smith (5) 7. 11M Troy Meyer Pete (3) 8. 96 Bronson Maeschen (7) 9. 74 Chris Parkinson (10) 10. 11 Pete Crall (6)

Crall and Zomer got together down the front chute, breaking Crall's front end and sending him hard into the inside rail. He came to a sudden stop, and spun around. He was uninjured in the hard hit, but done. Kearney dominated, while M. Alexander worked the bottom to perfection and raced his way into the A as the top points getter amongst the 4 heats.

B-Main) 1. Mitrisin (1) 2. Smith (4) 3. Hall (2) 4. Meyer (8) 5. Maeschen (12) 6. Phillips (5) 7. Houseman Sr (6) 8. Selvage (9) 9. Parkinson (11) 10. Moyer (17) 11. Edwards (16) 12. Thornburg (14) 13. Mather (3) 14. Houseman Jr. (15) 15. Zoutte (10) 16. Heskin (13) 17. Golik (7) DNS: Mincer

Mincer's DNS moved the inside rows up. Mitrisin led the distance despite stoppages for Zoutte spins (lap 2 & 6) and Heskin spins (lap 4 & 5). Unfortunately, fate would have it that nobody dropped out of the first 360 A, so these guys were just out hotlapping for next week.

A-Main #1) 1. Anderson (6) 2. Peters (4) 3. Kearney (5) 4. Beaver (13) 5. Ball Jr (10) 6. Schulz (8) 7. Heimbaugh (11) 8. Jobe (3) 9. Higday (2) 10. S. Alexander (14) 11. Zomer (17) 12. Hawks (12) 13. Martin (18) 14. Lenz (9) 15. Mosher (16) 16. M. Alexander (1) 17. Mason (15) 18. Walsh (20) 19. J. Hall (19) 20. Crabb (7)

WOW!!! is all I can really say about this 15-lap beauty. Higday took off from the front row and left the field, but a spin by M. Alexander (who was running a solid top-5) on lap five bunched things up. A Mason spin in turn two slowed things down again a lap later. The final nine laps went green though as the leaders battled through traffic. With three to go and Peters & Kearney hot on his trail, Higday got slowed in thick traffic by Crabb, and got on the binders. Contact was made between Higday (or Peters!?) and Crabb in turn two (slidejob central), and Anderson rocketed by both of them on the bottom to grab the lead. Higday had lost power steering on lap 3, and was worn thin by this point. He faded back fairly quickly. Beaver had an awesome run on a track suited to his slidejobbing driving style. Zomer also put on a good charge.

A-Main #2) 1. Higday (12) 2. Zomer (10) 3. S. Alexander (11) 4. Martin (8) 5. Peters (19) 6. Anderson (20) 7. J. Hall (2) 8. Hawks (9) 9. Schulz (15) 10. Lenz (7) 11. Walsh (3) 12. Heimbaugh (14) 13. Beaver (17) 14. Mason (4) 15. M. Alexander (5) 16. Jobe (13) 17. Crabb (1) 18. Kearney (18) 19. Mosher (6) 20. Ball Jr (16)

Kearney got into turn two hot at the start and collected Ball Jr and Peters (the trio being the top 3 in the points standings). Ball Jr and Peters flipped, with Ball Jr being finished. In yet another awesome show put on by our 360 boys, Higday was 4th by lap two, and in the lead by lap four. Lap three saw a spin by M. Alexander, and lap twelve saw a flip by Mosher in turn two, who had jumped the cushion. Higday led S. Alexander, J. Hall, Zomer, Martin, and a surging Peters. The restart featured a ridiculous battle between Zomer, Martin, and Peters. Peters slid Zomer, Zomer didn't back off, and Martin was running the bottom. The trio raced 3-wide for at least a lap or two, in great action. Beaver also had a good run going back into the top 10, but it was thwarted when he spun with a lap remaining. Zomer got 2nd on the restart but Higday would not be denied. Kearney caught the backchute fence as the leaders took the checkered and tumbled hard. He was appeared to be unhurt. Peters notched hard-charger honors, but the line for this passing buffet was plenty long.
