410s

Heat one (started): 1. Chad Meyer 1w (2) 2. Justin Henderson 33 (1) 3. Jake Peters 57x (4) 4. Micah Schliemann 9 (5) 5. Bill Boles 05 (6) / 6. Brock Dump 12 (3) 7. Clint Garner 40 (7) 8. Gary Isom 24 (9) 9. Ryan Voss 2H (8)

Meyer checked out and won by half a lap. Heats were eight laps, transferring the top five to the A main. Boles and Dump battled side by side for six laps, trapping a faster Garner behind them and out of a transfer. Isom, Terry McCarls mechanic, was driving a sprinter for the first time, driving for his boss.

Heat two (started): 1. Wayne Johnson 14AJ (2) 2. Mike Moore 69 (1) 3. Lynton Jeffrey 4AU (3) 4. Gary DeWall 16 (7) 5. John Miller 24m (5) / 6. Steve Ballenger 53 (6) 7. Chris Shirek 1 (8) 8. Shane Spurlock 4s (4)

Moore shot out to an early lead, before Johnson got back by him on lap three, and dusted the field. DeWall did nicely to move up three spots on the first two laps and secure fourth.

Heat three (started): 1. Billy Alley 22 (2) 2. Dusty Zomer 1z (3) 3. Gregg Bakker 11x (5) 4. Mark Dobmeier 13 (7) 5. John Lambertz 12L (6) / 6. Chuck McGillivray 101 (4) 7. Joe Riedel 15 (1) 8. Ryan Bickett 17B (8)

Alley led flag to flag, while Dobmeier picked his way from seventh to fourth.

B main (started): 1. Garner (4) 2. Ballenger (2) 3. Bickett (8) 4. McGillivray (3) 5. Dump (1) 6. Riedel (6) 7. Shirek (5) / 8. Isom (7) 9. Voss (9) 10. Spurlock (10) 11. Geoff Dodge 44x (11)

Ballenger took the early advantage before a lap four spin by Dodge. The restart saw Ballenger leading Garner, McGillivray, Dump and Riedel. When the green fell, Garner took the point and pulled away before another spin by Dodge, this one on lap nine. Garners lead on the restart was over Ballenger, McGillivray, Dump and Isom, looking good in his maiden voyage. The restart looked shoddy to say the least. Husets is one of the few tracks not using a cone on restarts, and Isom paid, as he was stuck on the low side, getting passed by Bickett, Riedel and Shirek and losing a transfer spot.

Make-up A main (started): 1. Alley (7) 2. Bakker (4) 3. Peters (6) 4. Meyer (5) 5. Zomer (8) 6. Garner (12) 7. Jeffrey (14) 8. Dobmeier (18) 9. Johnson (10) 10. Schliemann (5) 11. Henderson (3) 12. McGillivray (11) 13. Dump (13) 14. Ballenger (1) 15. Moore (17) 16. DeWall (15) 17. Lambertz (2) 18. Miller (16) 19. Riedel (19)

Johnson was black flagged to the rear on the initial start. His offense didnt seem serious, but his punishment was. Lambertz took the early lead in the non-stop 25 lapper with Bakker in tow. Bakker, defending Husets champ slid under to take the point on lap nine. A lap later, Peters followed him by Lambertz. Meanwhile, Alley was picking his way forward, and looked good both in a tacky low groove and on the cushion. He got by Peters on lap 17, and took the lead for good on lap 19, winning his first career 410 feature on U.S. soil. Dobmeier earned hard-charger honors moving up 10 spots.

A main (started): 1. Johnson (11) 2. Schliemann (2) 3. Peters (4) 4. Alley (10) 5. Dobmeier (5) 6. Moore (1) 7. Zomer (7) 8. Lambertz (15) 9. Meyer (12) 10. Bakker (8) 11. Boles (13) 12. DeWall (9) 13. Henderson (6) 14. Jeffrey (3) 15. Shirek (21) 16. McGillivray (18) 17. Miller (14) 18. Riedel (20) 19. Bickett (22) 20. Ballenger (17) 21. Dump (19) 22. Garner (16)

Moore led lap one from the pole, before fellow front-row starter, Schliemann took command on the next go-around. Dump blew a right rear on lap three, bringing a caution. On the restart, DeWall spun, collecting Bakker. Both would restart, but at the back instead of in the top ten. When the green finally fell, Schliemann led Moore, Peters, Zomer and Jeffrey. On lap six, Garner, who had charged into the top ten flipped hard in turn four. He was uninjured, but done. Dump dumped it on the restart, collecting Ballenger. After a lengthy delay waiting for the ambulance to return, Ballenger restarted at the tail. Schliemann led Peters, Moore, Jeffrey and a surging Johnson back to green flag racing. Jeffrey stopped immediately with a left front flat. He was able to restart at the rear. Schliemann opened up a large advantage over Peters, but Johnson was coming, and disposed of Moore and Peters, setting his sights on the leader. He finally caught him in lapped traffic on the 11th circuit and made his winning move, pulling away for the remaining 14 laps, as rubber set in soon after his pass. The win was Johnsons 99th career victory, but his first ever at Husets. Johnsons efforts also earned him hard-charger honors.

360s

Heat one (started): 1. Donovan Peterson 10 (4) 2. Randy Droescher 24 (5) 3. Dusty Wasmund 3L (6) 4. Lane Brenden 8 (7) / 5. Cody Hansen 4 (1) 6. Jordan Martens 13 (2) 7. Jody Rosenboom 6 (3)

Contact between Hansen and Martens completing lap one resulted in a tangle that also collected Rosenboom. All retired from the event, leaving the remaining four cars to transfer to the A main. Peterson led flag to flag in single-file action.

Heat two (started): 1. Eric McGillivray 35 (2) 2. Dusty Ballenger 2D (1) 3. Butch Hanssen 8K (4) 4. Brent Vonk 21v (6) / 5. Micah Schliemann 9 (5) 6. Justin Jacobsma 10x (3)

McGillivray led the distance. Hanssen worked on Ballenger for the length of the six lapper, but couldnt get around on a fast track.

Heat three (started): 1. Terry Reilly 69R (1) 2. Jesse Drost 27 (3) 3. Brad Nelson 47 (4) 4. Mitch Runge 28 (5) / 5. Shawn Van Wyhe 99 (6) 6. Troy Vink 77 (2)

Reilly led a mostly single-file affair the distance. With not much room to pass, Van Wyhe couldnt find a way around a slower Runge for the final transfer.

Heat four (started): 1. Casey Abbas 17v (1) 2. Brandon Rokusek 42w (2) 3. Kevin Flowers 42 (3) 4. Gordy Vogelaar 75 (6) / 5. Lyle Howey III 55 (5) 6. Daryl Reverts 7 (4)

Abbas was the class of the field in another single-file event.

B main (started): 1. Schliemann (1) 2. Howey (3) / 3. Rosenboom (7) 4. Martens (8) 5. Vink (5) 6. Jacobsma (4) 7. Reverts (6) 8. Van Wyhe (2) DNS Hansen

Schliemann and Howey pulled away to the front immediately. Van Wyhe was running fourth when he exited on lap four. Reverts came to a rest against the wall on lap six. After a lap one spin, Rosenboom came back to finish one spot out of a transfer. Both he and Martens would use provisionals to start the A.

A main (started): 1. Abbas (4) 2. Hanssen (12) 3. Peterson (7) 4. Nelson (2) 5. Vonk (9) 6. Rokusek (3) 7. Droescher (6) 8. Schliemann (17) 9. Vogelaar (15) 10. Howey (18) 11. Ballenger (10) 12. Wasmund (11) 13. Runge (14) 14. McGillivray (1) 15. Reilly (8) 16. Brenden (16) 17. Drost (13) 18. Martens (20, pr.) 19. Flowers (5) 20. Rosenboom (19, pr.)

McGillivray shot out to the early lead in the 18 lapper. Abbas picked his way forward, and took control of the race on lap six. Two circuits later, McGillivray spun out of second place, bringing a caution. Abbas led Nelson, Rokusek, Peterson and Vonk back to green flag racing. On lap 12, a caution and black flag were brought out for Drost. He was able to rejoin the field after a red flag for a flipped Rosenboom, who was uninjured. Rosenboom had advanced from the last row to 7th. Abbas led the field back to green flag racing with six to go, in front of Nelson, Peterson, Rokusek and Hanssen. Hanssen disposed of Rokusek, Peterson and Nelson, but came up short of the leader. Hanssen earned hard-charger honors, moving up ten spots.
