On Friday, Kerry timed in seventh quick with the 40-car World of Outlaws field.  He went on to win his heat from the fourth starting spot, and ran sixth in the Dash.  “The car was awesome all night,” he says.  “The car was very good.  We did change some things with the engine for the A main and it wouldn’t run the way we needed it to.”

Still, he maintained a top five standing for most of the feature.  “We were running fifth the whole race,” says Kerry.  “We had a late restart and we started on the bottom.  We ended up seventh.  It was disappointing not to bring it home in the top five.  We had the engine issue in the A main which was a shame.  I think we could have gotten up through there without that to be honest.”

Saturday, was the Four Crown finale.  Thirty-seven cars timed in with the All Stars.  Kerry was third quick in his group.  “I wasn’t on the right part of the track in qualifying,” he says.  “I should have qualified better.  In the heat race, we had an engine issue and the motor wouldn’t run.  That kept us out of a chance at the Dash.”

He lined up in row six for the feature.  “We were looking good in the A main, and we had an electrical issue,” says Kerry.  “I came to the work area and we got it fixed.”

Kerry would charge back from the tail to a tenth place finish.  “I think I could have gotten up further than tenth,” he says.  “The car really came alive the last eight laps.  It was super-quick.  We were moving up through there, but we ran out of laps.”
