Drivers started their heats based on points accumulated from Friday’s prelim. The 10-lap heats were inverted by six, putting the high point getters outside row three. The top 16 in combined points advanced to the title.

Heat one (started, *qualified for feature): 1. Randy Morgan Q54 (2) 2. Parker Scott SA55 (4*) 3. Jy Corbet NQ10 (1) 4. Ryan Newton Q66 (6*) 5. Michael Saller N56 (7) 6. Dennis Jones V17 (3) 7. Joel Heinrich S16 (5*) 8. Chad Gardner T45 (9) 9. Luke Thomas N15 (8)

Corbet led early ahead of Morgan, Parker and Newton, the high point getter coming into tonight. Newton passed Scott for third on lap two, but Scott shot back by a lap later. On the last lap, Corbet slowed with mechanical difficulties, allowing Morgan and Scott by.

Heat two (started, *qualified for feature): 1. Marcus Dumesny N47 (1) 2. Jordyn Charge NT11 (4*) 3. Dane Court V96 (2) 4. Jock Goodyer T22 (6*) 5. Todd Moule V26 (5*) 6. Kevin Titman Q59 (7) 7. Kodi Clayden WX40 (8) 8. Adam Alexander T16 (9) 9. Daniel Storer VA43 (3)

Mar. Dumesny led wire to wire. D. Storer passed Charge for third on lap two, but a lap later, tagged the wall, shearing his right front tire. The tire went airborne, and came down straight on Goodyer’s top wing, puncturing it. He would continue with a “sun roof.” The restart saw Mar. Dumesny leading Charge, Court, Goodyer and Moule, and that’s the way they would finish.

Heat three (started, *qualified for feature): 1. Tim Hutchins T7 (2) 2. Scott Enderl S11 (1) 3. Bradley Vaughan S80 (3) 4. Lachlan McHugh NQ7 (6*) 5. Dayne Kingshott W2 (4*) 6. Kaiden Manders W71 (5*) 7. Brodie Davis Q16 (7) 8. Alex Attard N53 (8) 9. Stephen Spark V3 (9)

Enderl was penalized for jumping the initial start. Hutchins inherited the pole and shot away to win in convincing fashion. There was hard racing behind him, where Enderl gained second from Vaughan on lap three in furious action that also involved Manders. McHugh had a rough start. Kingshott passed Manders for fourth with four to go, while McHugh took fifth. McHugh gained fourth on lap nine.

Heat four (started *qualified for feature): 1. Matthew Dumesny N57 (4*) 2. Ben Morris S3 (1) 3. James McFadden A1 (6*) 4. Kinser Claridge Q47 (7) 5. Glen Sutherland S20 (2) 6. Luke Storer S98 (5*) 7. Brendan Guerin S96 (3) 8. Phil Micallef VA11 (9) 9. Ryan Potts NQ24 (8)

Morris led Mat. Dumesny, Guerin, Sutherland and McFadden early. Claridge briefly gained fifth from McFadden. Mat. Dumesny slid by Morris for the lead on lap three. McFadden bounced back to advance to fourth by lap four, and then took third from Guerin with two to go. Claridge finished off a strong run from outside the invert by snagging fourth from Sutherland with three to go.

Heat five (started, *qualified for feature): 1. Jessie Attard NS53 (2) 2. Daniel Sayre N16 (4*) 3. Tate Frost T62 (3*) 4. Daniel Pestka S27 (6*) 5. Dylan Jenkin S50 (8) 6. Brock Hallett Q5 (5*) 7. Lisa Walker S4 (7) 8. Michael Keen W16 (1)

Keen shucked his driveline before a lap could be completed. On the restart, Hallett brushed the turn one wall slowing any momentum. J. Attard led the distance in convincing fashion, followed by Sayre. Frost gained third from Jenkin, who advanced well early. Pestka gained fourth from Jenkin on lap four.

C main (started): 1. Claridge (1) 2. Davis (3) 3. Titman (2) 4. Gardner (9) / 5. Walker (4) 6. Potts (8) 7. Spark (13) 8. Alexander (11) 9. Clayden (6) 10. Micallef (12) 11. Thomas (10) 12. A. Attard (7) 13. Jenkin (5) DNS – Keen

The 15-lapper took the top four to the back of the B. Claridge led wire to wire ahead of Davis and Titman. A. Attard moved up to fifth by lap five before Clayden slowed seven laps in, bringing caution. The restart saw Claridge ahead of Davis, Titman, Jenkin and A. Attard. On lap nine, A. Attard made a move to pass Jenkin for the final transfer, but the two cars made contact. Jenkin pulled to the infield, while A. Attard stopped with a flat right rear with five to go. Garnder assumed the final transfer spot at that point. One final caution flew for a spun Thomas with two to go. The lead four remained the same.

B main (started): 1. Mar. Dumesny (10) 2. Hutchins (3) 3. Vaughan (4) 4. J. Attard (5) / 5. Davis (16) 6. Guerin (2) 7. Saller (14) 8. Claridge (15) 9. Court (6) 10. Morris (9) 11. Enderl (11) 12. D. Storer (12) 13. Sutherland (8) 14. D. Jones (7) 15. Gardner (18) 16. Corbet (13) 17. Titman (17) 18. Morgan (1)

The 20-lapper took the top four to the title. Morris spun after contact with another car before a lap was completed. Guerin led Morgan Hutchins Court and J. Attard on lp one. Guerin spun at that point after contact with another car, and Morgan exited with a flat right rear. The new top five was Guerin, Hutchins, Court, J. Attard and Mar. Dumesny. Titman exited on lap four. The rest of the race went green and was hectic. In a battle for the final transfer spot on lap nine, J. Attard and Court contacted. Mar. Dumesny shot by both to take third. The leader entered lapped traffic on lap 11. Mar. Dumesny passed Hutchins for second at that point. Two laps later, Mar. Dumesny passed Guerin for the lead. The final seven laps saw much shifting, as Vaughan came back from a slow start to gain a transfer spot. On lap 14, he passed Guerin for third. A three-way battle for the final transfer ensued with J. Attard, Davis from the C and Guerin battling. J. Attard would solidify the spot with a pass of Guerin with five to go. It was a shame for Davis, who came out of the C to fall one spot short.

A main (started): 1. Goodyer (2) 2. McFadden (4) 3. Newton (1) 4. McHugh (3) 5. Moule (8) 6. Kingshott (16) 7. Pestka (5) 8. Scott (7) 9. Manders (10) 10. Mar. Dumesny (17) 11. Sayre (13) 12. Mat. Dumesny (11) 13. Heinrich (12) 14. Hutchins (18) 15. L. Storer (9) 16. J. Attard (20) 17. Frost (15) 18. Charge (12) 19. Hallett (6) 20. Vaughan (19)

The 40-lapper paid $22,000 to win and the honor of sporting the AU #1 for the next year. Goodyer led Newton, McFadden, Scott and McHugh. Three laps in, Vaughan spun, bringing caution. McHugh passed Scott for fourt on lap five. Goodyer entered lapped traffic on lap ten. On lap 12, McFadden passed Newton on the high side for second, but that was negated when Hallett spun after getting over the right rear of a slowing Charge. Goodyer was out front for the restart, ahead of Newton, McFadden, McHugh and Scott. Pestka surged into fifth when the green flew. Goodyer was back in lapped traffic at the halfway point. McFadden and Newton battled with McFadden getting by for second with a slider in turn four on lap 25. Moule got by Pestka for fifth. Up front, Goodyer was rolling through traffic. Rubber developed and McFadden closed, but had a pair of lapped cars between he and the Tasmanian in the final stages. It was Goodyer’s second Title. Kingshott was the hard-charger.
