Davis and Holmes both got a piece of Thorson on the way by. Holmes continued with a damaged top wing, and Davis made repairs in the work area. The single-file restart saw Reutzel leading Larson, Marks, Bacon, Scelzi and Abreu. Larson used a slider in turn three to take the lead when the green fell again. On lap 10, Holmes came to a stop and exited, bringing the final caution. Abreu moved into the top five on the restart. Marks used the low side to pass Reutzel for second on lap 12. Bacon worked by Scelzi for fourth on lap 13, but Scelzi battled back to regain the spot the next time around. Larson was cooking and entered traffic on lap 16. Five laps later, Scelzi worked under Reutzel for third. With five laps to go, Bacon passed Reutzel to move into the top five, and he passed Abreu for fourth on the final lap.
